Summary

This 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 Sport offers the sharp, four-door coupe styling that defined its generation, making it a head-turning alternative to traditional executive sedans. Finished in black—a perennially strong resale color in the GCC—this model balances spirited performance with daily usability for the urban commuter. While the mileage reflects consistent use across the Emirates, its GCC-spec configuration ensures the cooling systems and interior materials are specifically built to withstand the regional climate. It stands out in its segment for its high-tech MBUX interface and premium cabin finish, providing a modern luxury experience that remains competitive today. For a buyer seeking a stylish entry into the Mercedes-Benz brand, this CLA250 represents a reliable and well-equipped opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2019 CLA250s

With 170,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000–25,000 km GCC annual average, which is often a result of long-distance highway commutes between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. In the GCC market, high-mileage Mercedes-Benz models are valued based on their regional spec and maintenance history rather than just the odometer. The black exterior is one of the most desirable colors in the UAE, aiding significantly in future resale value compared to brighter, less traditional tones.

SPORT vs Lower Trims

The Sport trim significantly enhances the CLA's presence with the AMG-inspired styling package, including a diamond-block grille and more aggressive front and rear aprons. Inside, it adds bolstered sport seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel that provide a more tactile driving experience than the base model. This trim also includes larger alloy wheels and a sport-tuned suspension, which GCC buyers specifically value for its improved high-speed stability on the highway.

CLA250 vs Segment Rivals

The CLA250 competes directly with the Audi A3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, leading the group with its distinctive 'four-door coupe' silhouette and superior aerodynamic efficiency. It offers a more tech-focused cabin than the Audi, featuring the dual-screen MBUX layout that has become a brand benchmark. For the GCC buyer, the CLA provides a slightly more premium road presence and a brand prestige that typically commands higher interest in the local used market.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged engine is remarkably efficient for its class, averaging approximately 6.1 to 6.8 L/100km depending on driving conditions, which helps manage fuel costs during long commutes. Service intervals in the UAE are typically every 15,000 km or 12 months, and Mercedes-Benz maintains one of the most robust authorized service networks across all seven Emirates. While European luxury sedans face an annual depreciation of roughly 12-18% in the GCC, the CLA's enduring style and GCC-spec status help it maintain a stronger floor price than its non-regional counterparts.

Performance & Capability

The CLA250 delivers a verified 208 hp and 350 Nm of torque, enabling a swift 0–100 km/h sprint of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h. This torque-rich delivery is particularly useful for merging into fast-moving highway traffic, a daily reality for UAE drivers. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission provides near-instant gear changes, ensuring the car feels responsive whether navigating stop-start city traffic in Riyadh or cruising at speed toward Muscat.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for a driver-centric experience, featuring a high-resolution 8-inch central display and ambient lighting that enhances the nighttime driving atmosphere. Given the GCC heat, the air conditioning system in this GCC-spec model is engineered for rapid cabin cooling even in mid-summer. Acoustic insulation is a priority, effectively muting wind noise during high-speed highway travel, while the 5-seat layout ensures practicality for small families or executive commuting.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of this trim, equipped with a comprehensive suite including Attention Assist to detect driver fatigue and Active Brake Assist. It also features eight airbags as standard and electronic stability control tuned for various road surfaces. These systems are particularly valuable on multi-lane highways where blind-spot monitoring and adaptive braking technology provide an essential layer of protection for the driver and passengers.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec CLA250 Sport is the ideal choice for a young professional or small family seeking Mercedes-Benz prestige and modern technology in a highly sought-after color and trim combination.
