Summary

This 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser GXR is a standout find in the GCC market, combining the preferred 4.6L V8 engine with remarkably low mileage for its age. The Bronze exterior is a sophisticated alternative to the common white or silver, yet it remains a highly respected and strong resale color within the region. As a GCC-spec model, it is purpose-built to handle extreme summer temperatures and long-distance desert treks with absolute mechanical confidence. For any buyer in the UAE or wider Gulf, this vehicle represents the gold standard of durability, offering a level of peace of mind that few rivals can match.

This Car vs Other 2019 Land Cruisers

With just 55,469 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered significantly less ground than the typical 20,000–25,000 km per year average seen in the GCC. While many 2019 models are now approaching the 120,000 km mark, this example remains in its mechanical prime. The Bronze finish is a premium choice that holds its value well in the local market, offering a distinguished look without sacrificing the legendary Land Cruiser resale strength.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim provides a significant leap in refinement over the entry-level EXR, most notably adding a powered sunroof and a more premium interior finish with integrated wood-grain accents. This specific GXR also features the highly desirable center console cooler box—a vital feature for GCC summers—and a more advanced infotainment suite compared to base models. These additions are highly valued by local buyers and contribute to the trim's superior price retention at resale.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Nissan Patrol or the Chevrolet Tahoe, the Land Cruiser leads with its unmatched reputation for mechanical longevity and a denser service network across all seven Emirates and neighboring GCC countries. Its 138-litre dual fuel tank system provides a distinct advantage for cross-border travel to Saudi Arabia or Oman, offering a cruising range that few American or European competitors can equal. The body-on-frame construction ensures it remains more capable in deep sand than road-biased crossovers.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.6L V8 is known for its bulletproof reliability, with real-world combined fuel consumption averaging around 14.5 L/100km. While not a fuel-sipper in city traffic, it runs efficiently on standard Super 98 or Special 95 petrol available across the region. Toyota's authorized service centers are the most widespread in the GCC, ensuring parts are always available and affordable. Historically, the Land Cruiser retains roughly 80-85% of its value over three years in the UAE, far outperforming its European peers.

Performance & Capability

The 304 hp V8 provides a smooth, torque-rich experience that makes highway overtaking effortless, even when fully loaded with eight passengers. It delivers an official 0–100 km/h time of 8.6 seconds, which is impressive for a vehicle of this scale and weight. Off-road, the 225 mm ground clearance and full-time all-wheel-drive system allow it to navigate steep dunes and rocky wadis with ease. The 6-speed automatic transmission is specifically tuned for durability under high-load conditions typical of desert driving.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin is a sanctuary from the heat, featuring a high-output multi-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents that ensure all eight occupants stay cool. The plush leather seating and spacious third row make it a genuine family workhorse, capable of long road trips across the Emirates in total comfort. The inclusion of a factory-fitted refrigerator in the center console is a quintessential GCC luxury that underscores the vehicle's role as a long-distance companion.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring a suite of airbags that include side-curtain protection for all three rows and specialized knee airbags for the driver. The GXR trim includes vital active systems like stability control, active traction control (A-TRAC), and electronic brake-force distribution, which are essential for maintaining composure on both high-speed highways and shifting sand surfaces. Rear parking sensors and a high-resolution camera assist in navigating this large SUV through tight urban parking spaces.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a family or adventurer seeking a near-new Land Cruiser experience without the new-car price tag. Its rare low mileage and GCC-spec reliability make it a safe, high-value investment in today's market.
