Summary

This 2020 RSQ8 is a standout in the GCC market, combining high-performance supercar metrics with the everyday utility of a flagship SUV. Its black-on-black configuration remains one of the most desirable palettes for regional resale, holding its value better than more unconventional tones. With its twin-turbo V8 and sophisticated all-wheel-drive system, it offers a level of composure on long highway stretches that few rivals can match. For the GCC buyer, this model represents the sweet spot of the Q8 range, delivering near-Urus performance with a more understated executive presence. The mileage is consistent with a well-maintained daily driver used for typical inter-emirate commutes.

This Car vs Other 2020 RSQ8s

With 109,000 km, this vehicle sits at a standard mileage for a four-year-old performance SUV in the GCC, where annual averages often reach 25,000 km. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local used market, ensuring faster liquidity and stronger value retention compared to brighter alternatives. Its GCC specification is a critical advantage, ensuring the cooling systems and electronics are factory-calibrated for extreme summer temperatures.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The RSQ8 Standard sits at the top of the hierarchy, adding significant hardware over the SQ8, including active roll stabilization and all-wheel steering as standard for superior high-speed cornering. Inside, it upgrades to RS-specific Valcona leather sport seats with honeycomb stitching and a dedicated RS layout for the Virtual Cockpit. GCC buyers will particularly appreciate the standard 4-zone climate control and ventilated front seats, which are often optional extras on lower Q8 models.

RSQ8 vs Segment Rivals

The RSQ8 leads rivals like the BMW X6 M and Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S with its 605-litre boot capacity, offering more practical family space without sacrificing its coupe-like silhouette. It shares its fundamental mechanical DNA with the Lamborghini Urus, providing nearly identical powertrain performance and chassis technology at a more accessible entry point for the regional market. Its 85-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range, making it a preferred choice for long-distance desert highway drives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 13.0L/100km, though the 48V mild-hybrid system and cylinder-on-demand technology help optimize efficiency during stop-start traffic in cities like Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or 12 months, with Audi's extensive authorized network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia providing excellent parts availability. While European performance SUVs depreciate faster than Japanese luxury alternatives, the RSQ8 maintains a loyal enthusiast following in the GCC, supporting stable resale values for well-documented examples.

Performance & Capability

The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 delivers a massive 600 hp and 800 Nm of torque, propelling this SUV to 100 km/h in a verified 3.8 seconds. Its standard adaptive air suspension and quattro all-wheel drive with a sport differential ensure it handles more like a sports car than a heavy SUV, even on challenging surfaces. The system is engineered to manage the high thermal loads of GCC summers, maintaining peak boost and performance even in temperatures exceeding 45°C.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for luxury, featuring acoustic glass that insulates passengers from both engine noise and desert heat. Standard ventilated seats and a high-capacity 4-zone air conditioning system ensure all passengers remain cool during peak summer drives. The interior is finished with premium materials, including Alcantara door inserts and carbon fiber trim, creating a cockpit that feels both high-tech and incredibly durable for daily use.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with a full suite of ADAS features, including adaptive cruise assist, which is invaluable for long highway commutes across the Emirates. Standard safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, 360-degree cameras for easier parking in tight urban spaces, and Audi’s Pre-Sense basic system. The all-wheel steering further enhances safety by providing greater stability during emergency maneuvers at high speeds.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec RSQ8 is the perfect opportunity for a buyer seeking supercar-rivalling power in a practical, daily-usable SUV that is perfectly adapted for the regional climate.
