Summary

This 2020 Bentley Bentayga Speed represents the performance pinnacle of the luxury SUV world, featuring the iconic twin-turbocharged W12 engine that has since become a collector's item. In the GCC market, the Speed trim is highly coveted for its superior cooling capacity and high-speed stability on cross-country highway stretches. With 74,000 km, this example has been driven moderately for a GCC vehicle, keeping it in a prime window for its next owner to enjoy its mechanical peak. The vibrant Orange finish is a bold, high-visibility choice that stands out in the region's sea of white and silver, while carrying the prestige of the 'World's Fastest Production SUV' title from its launch year. For the buyer seeking a no-compromise fusion of ultimate grand touring comfort and supercar-rivalling power, this Speed is a compelling alternative to more common V8 variants.

This Car vs Other 2020 Bentaygas

With 74,000 km on the clock, this Bentayga sits comfortably within the average range for a four-year-old luxury vehicle in the GCC, where 20,000 km per year is the standard. While many available units are the V8 or Hybrid models, this Speed variant offers significantly higher performance and rarity. Its bold orange paintwork is a unique factory choice that commands attention in a market typically dominated by neutral tones.

SPEED vs Lower Trims

The Speed trim is fundamentally different from the V8, replacing the 4.0L engine with a handcrafted 6.0L W12 and adding the Bentley Dynamic Ride system as standard to manage body roll through fast corners. Inside, you get the Mulliner Driving Specification as standard, which includes diamond-quilted leather and sports pedals, plus a unique Alcantara interior split that isn't available on lower trims. Externally, it is distinguished by dark-tinted grilles and a larger tailgate spoiler that improves aerodynamic stability at the high speeds typical of regional highways.

Bentayga vs Segment Rivals

The Bentayga Speed competes directly with the Lamborghini Urus and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, leading with its unique W12 cylinder configuration that provides a smoother, more effortless power delivery than its V8 rivals. Its 85-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long drives between the Emirates or across the Saudi border. Unlike its sport-focused competitors, the Bentley maintains a focus on cabin silence and thermal insulation, specifically designed to handle the extreme 50°C summer peaks of the Middle East.

Running Costs & Resale

The Bentayga Speed requires premium 98-octane fuel to maintain its performance, with fuel consumption reflecting its massive W12 power during city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are typically every 16,000 km or annually, and Bentley has a strong authorized service presence across major GCC cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Kuwait City. W12-powered Bentleys generally hold their value better than standard V8 models in the local market due to the engine's discontinuation, marking this as a potential future classic.

Performance & Capability

A top speed of 306 km/h makes this one of the fastest SUVs ever produced, providing immense confidence during highway overtaking. The 900 Nm of torque is available from just 1,500 rpm, ensuring the vehicle feels light and responsive despite its luxury weight. The All-Wheel Drive system is paired with eight selectable drive modes, including specific settings for sand and gravel to handle the region's diverse terrain during weekend getaways.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a masterclass in craftsmanship, featuring ventilated and massaging seats that are essential for the GCC climate. Four-zone climate control ensures all passengers remain cool, while the Bentley Signature Audio system provides exceptional clarity over any road noise. The Speed-exclusive Alcantara accents provide a tactile, sporty feel that remains cooler to the touch than traditional leather after the car has been parked in the sun.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this trim includes a 360° camera for effortless parking and an advanced Blind Spot Assist system that is vital for fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic. It also features Adaptive Cruise Control and Night Vision, providing an extra layer of security during long-distance night drives across desert roads. The carbon-ceramic braking system, available on this trim, offers the massive stopping power required for a vehicle of this performance class.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who refuses to choose between a supercar and an SUV, this W12 Speed offers a rare opportunity to own a discontinued mechanical icon in a standout GCC-ready specification.
