Summary

This Bentley Flying Spur W12 offers a compelling opportunity in the GCC market, combining a prestigious black-on-black color scheme with the mechanical superiority of the flagship 12-cylinder engine. At 51,000 km, this 6-year-old vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 120,000–150,000 km expected for a car of this age in the region, ensuring the hand-built powertrain remains in prime condition. The W12 trim is highly sought after by local collectors for its effortless highway overtaking and iconic status, standing head and shoulders above the later V8 and Hybrid variants in pure prestige. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, this listing represents a well-preserved example of Bentley's peak internal combustion engineering, perfectly suited for long-distance luxury travel between cities.

This Car vs Other 2020 Flying Spurs

With only 51,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits well below the GCC average annual mileage of 20,000–25,000 km, making it a low-mileage standout for its year. The black exterior is a high-demand resale color in the UAE, offering better value retention and faster liquidity compared to niche shades. While it carries a Japanese regional specification, the car's mechanical components are identical to global W12 models, though buyers should confirm local service center compatibility for any remaining software-specific updates.

W12 vs Lower Trims

The W12 trim is the definitive flagship, offering 84 more horsepower and significantly higher torque than the V8 model, which is essential for maintaining smooth momentum with a 2.5-ton sedan. In addition to the superior engine, this trim standardizes high-end features such as 21-inch wheels, rear-wheel steering for tighter urban maneuvering, and an upgraded cabin featuring ventilated and massaging seats for both front and rear passengers. It also includes the sophisticated 48V active anti-roll system, providing a flatter, more composed ride through fast highway bends.

Flying Spur vs Segment Rivals

The Flying Spur W12 competes directly with the Rolls-Royce Ghost and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, distinguishing itself as the most driver-centric option in the ultra-luxury segment. Its all-wheel-drive system and active chassis provide a more athletic feel on the road than the Maybach, while its massive 90-liter fuel tank ensures a longer cruising range for cross-border GCC trips. Unlike its rivals, the Bentley successfully blends a traditional hand-crafted wood and leather interior with high-performance metrics that challenge many dedicated sports cars.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the W12 engine typically averages around 14.8 L/100km, though this can rise in the stop-start traffic of Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are required every 10,000 km or 12 months, and given the high summer temperatures in the GCC, proactive cooling system checks are highly recommended. While European luxury sedans typically see 12–18% annual depreciation, the W12 Flying Spur tends to hold its value better than the V8 due to its status as a flagship engine that is increasingly rare in the used market.

Performance & Capability

The 626 hp W12 engine is a masterpiece of engineering, delivering 900 Nm of torque that allows the car to reach 100 km/h in a staggering 3.8 seconds. This power is managed by an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system that adapts to surface conditions instantly. Four dedicated drive modes—including a specialized 'Bentley' mode—allow you to transition from a soft, compliant ride to a sharpened, high-speed grand tourer capable of a 333 km/h top speed where conditions allow.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of hand-stitched leather and polished veneers, designed to isolate passengers from the outside world with acoustic glass and extensive insulation. Both rows benefit from multi-zone climate control and ventilated seating, which is a necessity for maintaining comfort during the peak GCC summer. The 12.3-inch rotating display offers a choice between a modern touchscreen and classic analog dials, while the rear seat environment can be controlled via a dedicated touchscreen remote.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this W12 trim is extensive, featuring a 360-degree camera system and Night Vision for enhanced visibility on unlit desert roads. It includes a full suite of ADAS technologies such as blind-spot monitoring, lane departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise control, which are invaluable for safety during high-speed highway commutes. The car's rigid construction is complemented by a comprehensive airbag system and automated emergency braking, ensuring peak protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for an executive or collector who wants the peak W12 experience with significantly lower-than-average mileage. It offers a rare combination of supercar performance and unrivaled cabin refinement that justifies its position at the top of the luxury sedan market.
