Summary

This 2020 E300 AMG combines the fuel efficiency of a 2.0L turbocharged engine with the aggressive styling of the AMG Line. Silver is one of the most practical and sought-after colors in the GCC, offering excellent heat reflection and long-term resale stability. With the AMG trim, you get a significantly more premium interior and sharper exterior presence than the base models, making it a standout choice for professionals. While this is a Korean-spec vehicle, it offers a high equipment level including the digital cockpit and premium audio that are essential for a modern executive drive. As a rear-wheel-drive sedan, it delivers the refined handling Mercedes is known for, ideal for both daily city commutes and long highway stretches between emirates.

This Car vs Other 2020 E300s

At 120,000 km, this vehicle sits at the average mileage expected for a four-year-old executive sedan in the GCC market, where annual use typically ranges between 25,000 and 30,000 km. The silver exterior is a top-tier choice for the region, known for maintaining its look under the harsh sun and holding value better than niche colors. Being a 2020 model, it benefits from the updated M264 engine which offers a refined power delivery compared to earlier versions.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim transforms the E300 from a standard sedan into a performance-oriented executive car, adding the AMG body styling and larger alloy wheels. Inside, the AMG Line includes a flat-bottom Nappa leather sports steering wheel and galvanized shift paddles, which are absent in the Avantgarde or Exclusive trims. Furthermore, this trim often includes the high-resolution 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the Burmester surround sound system, features highly prized by GCC buyers for their premium feel.

E300 vs Segment Rivals

The E300 leads the BMW 530i and Audi A6 in cabin technology and material quality, particularly with its signature 64-color ambient lighting and dual-screen dashboard. Its 540-litre boot space is exceptionally generous for the executive class, providing more practical utility than many of its rivals. While competitors focus on sportiness, the E-Class remains the segment leader for ride comfort and highway stability on long GCC drives.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbo engine is highly efficient for its class, averaging approximately 6.9L/100km on the highway, making it a cost-effective choice for those commuting between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. As a Korean-spec model, parts availability is strong in the UAE due to the shared mechanical platform with GCC models, though buyers should verify service compatibility at local authorized centers. Silver Mercedes sedans generally experience a standard European depreciation rate of 12-15% annually, but maintain higher demand in the used market compared to American-spec imports.

Performance & Capability

With 241 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque, the E300 delivers a smooth 0-100 km/h time of 6.4 seconds, ensuring confident overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. The 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission is designed to keep RPMs low at cruising speeds, enhancing both fuel economy and cabin quietness. The Rear Wheel Drive setup, paired with DYNAMIC SELECT modes, allows the driver to sharpen the chassis for a more engaging experience or soften it for maximum comfort.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around the dual 12.3-inch screens that provide a futuristic digital cockpit experience. Multi-zone climate control is a standard highlight, ensuring the cabin stays cool even during peak summer temperatures reaching 45°C+. This specific trim benefits from power-adjustable sports seats and premium materials, providing a high level of insulation from road noise and desert heat during long cross-country journeys.

Safety

This E300 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Active Brake Assist and Attention Assist to monitor driver fatigue on long highway stretches. The inclusion of a 360° camera and Blind Spot Assist provides essential visibility in heavy urban traffic. These active systems, combined with a 5-star safety pedigree, ensure that occupants are protected by some of the most advanced technology in the executive segment.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking executive luxury and AMG styling without the running costs of a V6, this silver E300 is a high-spec opportunity that balances premium tech with daily practicality.
