Summary

This GCC-spec Ford F-150 Lariat is a standout example of the 14th-generation redesign, offering a significant tech leap over its predecessor. Finished in a professional Blue that maintains strong resale value in the UAE, this truck features the high-output 3.5L engine typically reserved for performance trims, providing a superior power-to-weight ratio for highway overtaking. With mileage sitting comfortably below the GCC annual average, it represents a well-preserved option for those seeking executive luxury in a workhorse body. The Lariat trim strikes the perfect balance for the regional climate, providing essential heat-management features that lower trims lack. Whether you are navigating Dubai’s fast-moving highways or heading for a weekend desert gateway, this F-150 delivers a refined, high-torque driving experience.

This Car vs Other 2021 F-150s

With approximately 69,339 km on the odometer, this F-150 has been driven roughly 23,000 km per year, which is perfectly aligned with the typical GCC usage pattern of 20,000 to 25,000 km. Unlike many American-spec imports found in the local market, this is a genuine GCC-spec vehicle, ensuring full compatibility with local service centers and a higher valuation at trade-in. The Blue exterior is a smart alternative to the standard white, offering a distinctive look without the resale penalty associated with niche colors.

LARIAT vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the Lariat from the XLT transforms the F-150 into a luxury vehicle, most notably adding essential ventilated leather seats for the intense GCC summer. It also replaces the standard 8-inch screen with a massive 12-inch Sync 4 touchscreen and a fully digital instrument cluster, providing a much more modern cabin feel. Standard Lariat upgrades include power-folding side mirrors, ambient interior lighting, and a premium B&O sound system that significantly improves the daily commute.

F-150 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Chevrolet Silverado and RAM 1500, the F-150 leads the segment in aluminum-alloy construction, which reduces weight and improves fuel efficiency during long Abu Dhabi to Dubai runs. The 3.5L EcoBoost engine offers a higher torque output at lower RPMs than the naturally aspirated V8s of its rivals, making it more responsive in city traffic. Furthermore, Ford's flat-rear load floor remains a practical benchmark, offering superior interior cargo space when the seats are flipped up.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L EcoBoost averages around 12 to 13 L/100km, making it one of the more efficient full-size pickups for highway cruising across the Emirates. Authorized service centers are widely available in every major GCC city, with standard service intervals typically scheduled every 10,000 km. The F-150 maintains some of the strongest resale values in the pickup segment, historically depreciating slower than its European SUV counterparts due to its legendary durability.

Performance & Capability

The high-output 3.5L engine delivers a massive 450 hp, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in roughly 6 seconds—exceptional for a vehicle of this size. Its All-Wheel Drive system is paired with selectable drive modes, including Deep Snow/Sand, making it highly capable for soft-sand excursions during the cooler months. With a braked towing capacity reaching up to 6,350 kg depending on the final configuration, it remains a premier choice for hauling boats or trailers to the coast.

Comfort & Cabin

The SuperCrew cabin offers best-in-class rear legroom, ensuring three adults can travel comfortably on cross-border road trips. The dual-zone climate control is specifically engineered to handle 45°C+ temperatures, supported by rear AC vents that ensure rapid cooling for all passengers. Premium leather upholstery and a noise-insulated cabin make this truck feel more like a luxury sedan than a utility vehicle during long highway drives.

Safety

Standard on this Lariat is the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, which includes Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with trailer coverage—a vital feature for the UAE’s wide, multi-lane highways. It also features Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and a 360-degree camera system that makes parking this large pickup in urban areas significantly easier. The 2021 model earned a 5-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA, providing peace of mind for family use.

The bottom line

For the UAE buyer who needs a rugged pickup that doesn't compromise on luxury tech or cabin cooling, this GCC-spec Lariat is the ideal choice. It offers the performance of a high-output engine with the security of a local service history and sensible mileage.
