Summary

This GCC-spec Yukon is a standout opportunity for families, offering the rugged AT4 trim that bridges the gap between the standard SUV and the luxury-focused Denali. With mileage under the typical 100,000 km threshold for a three-year-old vehicle in the region, it presents a well-maintained mechanical profile suited for both Abu Dhabi highway commutes and weekend escapes. The brown exterior is a sophisticated choice that offers a distinctive presence on the road while maintaining the strong resale profile that GMC SUVs enjoy across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As an 8-seater, it excels in family logistics, providing significantly more third-row space than its predecessors thanks to the 2021 redesign. The combination of a powerful V8 and high-clearance AT4 styling makes it one of the most versatile daily drivers in the full-size segment.

This Car vs Other 2021 Yukons

At approximately 95,000 km, this vehicle's usage aligns perfectly with the typical 25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC market. While many large SUVs in the region quickly accumulate high mileage on long-distance desert highways, this example has been kept to a standard volume of travel. The GCC specification ensures the cooling system and air conditioning are factory-tuned for extreme summer heat, a critical advantage over imported models.

AT4 vs Lower Trims

The AT4 trim adds significant hardware over the SLE and SLT, including specialized front fascias for better approach angles and standard Magnetic Ride Control for superior handling on varied terrain. Inside, it upgrades the experience with ventilated front seats and heated second-row seating as standard, features that are often optional on lower trims. You also benefit from the AT4-exclusive Jet Black and Brandy leather interior, which offers a more premium feel than the base cloth or standard leather configurations.

Yukon vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser, the Yukon offers a larger 91-litre fuel tank and more generous third-row legroom following its 2021 independent rear suspension update. While the Nissan Patrol is a common sight, this GMC leads in cargo practicality with 722 litres of space even when all eight seats are occupied. The 10-speed automatic transmission provides smoother shifts and better highway cruising efficiency than several rivals in the full-size American SUV class.

Running Costs & Resale

GMC Yukons maintain strong value retention in the GCC, typically depreciating at a slower rate than European luxury SUVs due to high local demand. The 5.3L V8 is optimized for regional fuel grades, and the extensive authorized service network across the UAE and wider GCC makes maintenance convenient. Standard service intervals occur every 10,000 km, with parts being readily available at competitive prices compared to specialized off-road brands.

Performance & Capability

The 5.3L V8 engine produces 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, delivering confident overtaking power on fast-moving UAE motorways like the E11. This AT4 configuration is built for versatility, featuring a high-approach front bumper and specialized suspension that handles gravel paths and light desert dunes with ease. Despite its size, the 10-speed transmission ensures the power is delivered smoothly for a refined long-distance cruising experience.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the Gulf climate, featuring a powerful tri-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to keep all eight passengers cool in 45°C+ temperatures. Acoustic-laminated glass significantly reduces wind noise during high-speed highway travel, while the 10.2-inch infotainment screen serves as the hub for all tech needs. The interior versatility is a highlight, with power-folding third-row seats allowing for quick transitions between maximum passenger capacity and massive cargo hauls.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with the GMC Pro Safety Plus suite standard on this trim, including Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert. These systems are particularly valuable for managing fast-moving multi-lane traffic. Additionally, the AT4 features standard Hill Descent Control and StabiliTrak stability control, providing extra security when navigating sandy or uneven surfaces during weekend family trips.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who needs 8-seat practicality without sacrificing a rugged, premium aesthetic, this well-maintained AT4 offers the ideal balance of local specification and modern tech.
