Summary

This 2021 E 450 Coupe is a standout opportunity in the GCC market, offering exceptionally low mileage for its year, effectively presenting a near-new vehicle experience. The black exterior is a premier resale color in the region, ensuring strong demand and value retention for future owners. Featuring the smooth 3.0L inline-six paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, it provides effortless power ideal for high-speed commutes between Emirates. As a luxury coupe, it strikes the perfect balance between executive presence and grand touring performance. For the GCC buyer, this represents a rare chance to own a modern Mercedes-Benz pillar with minimal wear and high long-term desirability.

This Car vs Other 2021 E 450s

With just over 4,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is significantly lower than the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km per year. While many 2021 models in the market have surpassed 60,000 km, this unit offers a mechanical longevity and interior freshness that is hard to match. The classic black exterior is a highly sought-after executive shade that maintains the strongest resale demand in the UAE and Saudi markets compared to more niche colors.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The E 450 trim serves as the performance benchmark for the non-AMG lineup, replacing the 4-cylinder engines found in the E 200 and E 300 with a sophisticated 3.0L inline-six. This upgrade introduces the EQ Boost mild-hybrid system, providing an additional 21 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque for smoother acceleration and improved efficiency in stop-start city traffic. It also typically includes the MBUX infotainment system with dual 12.3-inch displays as standard, a feature highly valued by tech-focused buyers in the region.

E 450 vs Segment Rivals

The E 450 Coupe primarily competes with the BMW 840i and the Audi A5, leading the segment in ride comfort and interior opulence. While rivals focus on aggressive handling, the Mercedes-Benz offers a more refined grand touring experience with a cabin designed for long-distance summer comfort. Its 66-liter fuel tank and efficient mild-hybrid powertrain make it better suited for cross-border GCC road trips than its less fuel-efficient competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 3.0L mild-hybrid powertrain typically averages between 8.5L and 9.5L/100km, performing efficiently during long highway cruises across the Emirates. As an American spec vehicle, buyers should note that authorized dealer warranty support may differ from GCC-spec cars, though the extensive network of specialized German automotive centers in the UAE ensures parts and service availability are never an issue. The E-Class maintains strong value retention in the GCC, typically depreciating at a lower rate than its Audi and BMW counterparts over a three-year period.

Performance & Capability

The 362 hp turbocharged engine delivers a 0–100 km/h sprint of 5.2 seconds, providing decisive overtaking power on fast-moving UAE highways. The 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission ensures the car remains in the optimal power band, while the rear-wheel-drive configuration offers a classic, engaging driving feel. Multiple drive modes including Sport+ allow you to sharpen the throttle response, making it equally capable for a spirited weekend drive or a relaxed evening commute through downtown Dubai.

Comfort & Cabin

The four-seat interior is focused on passenger well-being, featuring dual-zone climate control designed to handle extreme GCC summer temperatures. High-quality cabin insulation ensures a quiet environment even at high highway speeds, effectively blocking out desert wind noise. The pillarless side window design provides an airy, open feel that is a signature of the Mercedes-Benz coupe experience, complemented by premium materials throughout the cockpit.

Safety

Standard safety features include Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and the PRE-SAFE system, which can protect occupants' hearing by emitting 'pink sound' before a collision. For long desert highway drives, the Attention Assist system monitors driver fatigue, while the 360-degree camera provides essential visibility for tight parking in major city malls. These active systems work together to provide a comprehensive safety net for both city and highway driving conditions.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking a low-mileage grand tourer that combines executive prestige with modern technology, this E 450 Coupe is a premier choice that promises strong future resale value in the local market.
