Summary

This 2021 Mercedes-Benz E 450 Coupe represents an exceptional find for the GCC market, offering near-delivery mileage that is significantly lower than typical local annual averages. Finished in black, it occupies the most desirable color bracket for resale in the region, ensuring strong value retention for the next owner. The transition to the silky-smooth inline-six engine for this model year provides a level of refinement that its four-cylinder siblings cannot match. For a UAE or Saudi-based buyer, this low-mileage American-spec coupe offers a substantial saving over a local dealer alternative while delivering the same high-speed stability and luxury presence. It stands out as a sophisticated grand tourer perfectly suited for crossing emirates in total silence and comfort.

This Car vs Other 2021 E 450s

With just 4007 km on the odometer, this E 450 has covered less distance than many new cars sitting on dealer lots, offering a pristine mechanical state rarely seen in the GCC used market. While the average 2021 model in the UAE typically shows 60,000 km or more, this example is effectively in its break-in period. The black exterior is the gold standard for luxury resale in the Gulf, further strengthening the long-term investment case.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The E 450 Coupe adds the sophisticated M256 inline-six engine with EQ Boost, providing a 114 hp jump over the E 350 and significantly smoother stop-start transitions. Inside, the 12.3-inch digital cockpit and MBUX infotainment system come standard, alongside superior cabin materials that define the mid-level executive experience. This trim also benefits from larger sport brakes and enhanced lighting systems that are often costly options on base models.

E 450 vs Segment Rivals

The E 450 Coupe leads rivals like the BMW 8 Series and Audi A5 with its unique 'pillarless' side glass design, offering an airy cabin feel that is unmatched in the segment. Its 66-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long-distance trips between Dubai and Riyadh compared to more sport-focused competitors. The Mercedes-Benz M256 engine is widely regarded for having better low-end torque delivery than its peers, making it ideal for city traffic.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this mild-hybrid powertrain averages approximately 9.2 L/100km, which is efficient for a high-output six-cylinder in GCC stop-start traffic. Mercedes-Benz maintains a massive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring specialized parts for this American-spec model are easily accessible. While German coupes typically depreciate by 12–15% annually in the GCC, the ultra-low mileage on this specific unit will likely help it maintain a price premium for years to come.

Performance & Capability

The 369 hp inline-six engine utilizes a 48-volt mild-hybrid system to eliminate turbo lag, launching the coupe from 0–100 km/h in a swift 5.2 seconds. This rear-wheel-drive configuration offers a classic, engaging driving dynamic that feels composed on high-speed desert motorways. The 9-speed automatic transmission is tuned for seamless highway cruising, ensuring the engine remains at low RPMs even at top speed for maximum cabin tranquility.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior features a four-seat layout with generous front legroom and high-quality synthetic leather that stays cooler in the extreme GCC summer heat. Dual-zone climate control and well-placed vents ensure rapid cabin cooling, a vital feature for local ownership during the hotter months. Despite its sleek coupe profile, the boot provides 425 litres of space, which is ample for weekend golf bags or luxury luggage for cross-border trips.

Safety

This E 450 is equipped with the full suite of Mercedes-Benz safety technologies, including Active Brake Assist and Blind Spot Assist, which are essential for navigating multi-lane highway traffic. Attention Assist monitors driver fatigue during long desert drives, while the high-strength steel passenger cell provides world-class crash protection. Standard LED performance headlamps offer superior visibility during nighttime highway travel across unlit stretches of road.

The bottom line

For the executive buyer seeking the prestige of a new Mercedes-Benz without the showroom price tag, this ultra-low mileage E 450 Coupe is the most logical choice in the current market. Its combination of the refined inline-six engine and high-demand black finish makes it a standout opportunity for both driving enjoyment and resale security.
