Summary

This Audi Q5 45 TFSI offers a compelling balance of modern engineering and regional suitability, with its mileage sitting well below the typical annual average for a 4-year-old vehicle in the GCC. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the local market, maintaining its aesthetic appeal against the desert dust while securing strong resale interest. As a GCC-spec model, it benefits from a cooling system and interior materials designed specifically for high-temperature environments. It represents one of the most refined choices in the compact luxury SUV segment, combining Audi’s legendary quattro all-wheel drive with a tech-forward cabin that feels current even years after its release. For the driver who prioritizes badge prestige alongside everyday utility, this listing is a standout opportunity in the current market.

This Car vs Other 2022 Q5s

With just 38,397 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This low-mileage status ensures less wear on the suspension and interior touchpoints, making it a premium choice compared to higher-use alternatives. The Grey finish is a stable value-holder in the GCC, offering better heat reflection than darker colors while remaining a top-three preference for second-hand buyers.

45 TFSI vs Lower Trims

The 45 TFSI powertrain is the preferred choice for GCC highways, offering a significant power boost over the entry-level 40 TFSI for more confident overtaking at speed. This trim typically includes the larger 10.1-inch MMI touch display and a more comprehensive suite of interior LED lighting as standard. The presence of the quattro ultra system also ensures better fuel efficiency on long desert drives compared to older permanent all-wheel-drive setups.

Q5 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC, the Q5 leads with a highly intuitive cabin layout and the standard inclusion of three-zone climate control, which is essential for rear-passenger comfort during GCC summers. Its 550-litre boot is among the most practical in the class, featuring a 40/20/40 split-folding rear bench that offers more configuration flexibility than many rivals. The Audi also tends to offer a quieter highway ride, a major plus for cross-emirate commuting.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 45 TFSI averages around 8.0 L/100km on combined cycles, though highway cruising between cities can see even better efficiency. As a GCC-spec Audi, it is fully supported by an extensive authorized service network including Al Nabooda and Ali & Sons in the UAE, and SAMACO in Saudi Arabia. While European luxury SUVs typically see 12-18% annual depreciation in the region, the Q5’s popularity ensures it remains one of the easier models to trade in or sell privately at the 4-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L turbocharged engine delivers a brisk 0-100 km/h time of 6.1 seconds, providing plenty of urge for merging into fast-moving highway traffic. Audi’s quattro four-wheel-drive system provides exceptional stability on rain-slicked roads or gravel tracks, though it is primarily tuned for on-road refinement. With a 70-litre fuel tank, the Q5 is well-equipped for long-distance travel, easily covering the distance between major GCC hubs on a single fill.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a masterclass in ergonomics, featuring three-zone automatic climate control that allows rear passengers to set their own temperature—a vital feature for the local climate. High-quality leather upholstery and acoustic glass help insulate the interior from both the intense heat and external road noise. The sliding and reclining rear seats ensure that even taller adults have sufficient legroom for long journeys across the border.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring Audi Pre Sense City which can initiate emergency braking to mitigate frontal collisions in urban traffic. Standard driver aids include blind-spot monitoring (Audi Side Assist) and rear cross-traffic alert, both of which are invaluable on the busy, multi-lane highways of Dubai and Riyadh. The vehicle also carries a full suite of airbags and electronic stability control tuned to handle the varied traction levels of regional road surfaces.

The bottom line

This is the ideal pick for a professional or small family seeking a low-mileage, GCC-spec luxury SUV that balances performance with high resale confidence. It offers the specific trim and powertrain that local buyers value most, making it a savvy purchase in today's market.
