Summary

This specific Bentley Bentayga is a compelling opportunity for a buyer seeking the pinnacle of British craftsmanship paired with a focused, driver-centric specification. Finished in a sophisticated green that holds strong aesthetic appeal in the UAE market, this vehicle stands out for its unique S trim which emphasizes performance dynamics over the standard V8 model. While the mileage reflects active use consistent with frequent high-speed commutes between emirates, its GCC specification ensures it remains fully supported by regional service networks. This model offers a level of prestige and road presence that few rivals can match, making it an ideal choice for those who value both exclusivity and everyday usability. The single most important factor for a GCC buyer here is the peace of mind that comes with a regional-spec vehicle, ensuring the cooling systems and electronics are built to withstand our extreme summer temperatures. It represents a significant value proposition for a modern, high-performance luxury SUV that is ready for immediate enjoyment.

This Car vs Other 2022 Bentaygas

When looking at the 2022 model year in the GCC, the mileage on this unit is slightly higher than the average, which typically sits around 20,000 to 25,000 km per year. However, this often indicates the vehicle has been used for long-distance highway travel between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, which is generally easier on the mechanical components than stop-start urban traffic. The green exterior is a sophisticated choice that performs well in the resale market, offering a distinguished alternative to the more common white and black shades seen across the region. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it holds a distinct advantage over imported North American or European models, particularly regarding the optimized radiator capacity and air conditioning seals designed for 50-degree Celsius heat. Buyers will find that the interior wear typically associated with high mileage is mitigated by the exceptionally high grade of hides used by Bentley. Choosing this specific unit allows a buyer to step into a current-generation aesthetic at a more accessible entry point compared to lower-mileage examples.

S vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the S trim provides a substantially sharper driving experience compared to the standard V8 model, which GCC enthusiasts will appreciate on the open desert roads. This trim introduces the Bentley Dynamic Ride system as standard, using an electric active roll control system to keep the car flat through corners—a feature that is often an expensive option on lower trims. You also get a specifically tuned Sports Exhaust that delivers a more evocative V8 rumble, adding a layer of character that fits the bold styling of the car. Inside, the cabin receives unique Alcantara elements and bespoke 'S' embroidery, signaling its higher status to passengers. The exterior is differentiated by dark-tinted lamps and blacked-out brightware, replacing the chrome found on base models for a more aggressive, contemporary appearance. Furthermore, 22-inch wheels come standard on this trim, filling the arches more effectively and providing better high-speed stability.

Bentayga vs Segment Rivals

The Bentayga competes in an elite bracket alongside the Lamborghini Urus and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, yet it occupies a unique middle ground that balances raw power with traditional luxury. Compared to the Urus, the Bentley offers a much smoother ride quality and a more isolated cabin, which is preferable for long journeys across the UAE and Oman. It features a larger fuel tank than many competitors, allowing for extended range during cross-border drives where high-octane fuel stations may be spaced further apart. The hand-finished interior quality surpasses that of the Aston Martin DBX, particularly in the density of the wood veneers and the tactile feel of the knurled metal switchgear. For family use in the GCC, the Bentayga's boot space is more practical than the sloping rooflines found on coupe-style luxury SUVs. Its All-Wheel Drive system is also exceptionally sophisticated, offering better sand-crossover capability than more road-biased competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 4.0-liter V8 reflects its high performance, averaging approximately 13 to 15 liters per 100km, which can rise during heavy Cairo-style traffic in downtown Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are typically every 16,000 kilometers or once a year, and the authorized service network is very strong in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, though more limited in smaller regional territories. In the GCC used market, the Bentayga S experiences a depreciation rate of roughly 15% annually, which is standard for European ultra-luxury brands but better than some niche competitors due to high local demand. Value retention remains strong at the three-year mark because the model is highly aspirational and the GCC spec is a trusted commodity. Parts are readily available through official distributors, ensuring that maintenance does not lead to long periods of downtime. High-mileage units that have been maintained within the official network continue to find ready buyers in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

Under the hood sits a hand-built 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 542 horsepower, capable of launching this substantial SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. This performance is particularly impressive during highway overtaking, where the massive torque provides effortless acceleration even at higher speeds. The top speed is rated at 290 km/h, though its true strength lies in its high-speed cruising stability on the E11 and other major regional arteries. Despite its luxury focus, the ground clearance and intelligent AWD system allow for confident driving on graveled wadi tracks or soft sand shoulders. Multiple drive modes, including a dedicated Sport mode, recalibrate the air suspension and throttle response to suit the driver's mood. The towing capacity is also among the best in the luxury segment, making it suitable for hauling horse trailers or marine craft to the coast. The refined transmission shifts almost imperceptibly, maintaining a serene atmosphere even when the engine is pushed.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a five-seat sanctuary designed to isolate occupants from the harsh external environment of the Middle East. It features high-performance air conditioning and ventilated seats that are essential for maintaining comfort during the peak summer months. The Naim for Bentley audio system, often included in this trim, provides 1,780 watts of crystal-clear sound, making long commutes a genuine pleasure. Noise insulation is world-class, with double-glazed side windows significantly reducing wind and road noise at highway speeds. Rear passengers enjoy dedicated climate zones and ample legroom, ensuring that family members are as comfortable as the driver. The mix of premium leather and Alcantara creates a tactile environment that feels vastly more special than mass-produced luxury cars. Even with the pursuit of performance, the ride remains supple thanks to the advanced air suspension that irons out road imperfections.

Safety

Safety is paramount, and this vehicle comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems that are particularly useful on busy multi-lane GCC highways. Features like Blind Spot Assist and Lane Assist help manage the fast-moving traffic flow common in the region. Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Jam Assist takes the stress out of the daily commute, maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead automatically. The night vision system is a standout feature for night-time desert driving, helping to identify hazards or camels beyond the range of the LED headlamps. A 360-degree camera system makes parking this large SUV in tight mall spaces or villa garages effortless. The structural integrity and multiple airbag systems ensure that all five occupants are protected by some of the most advanced safety engineering available today.

The bottom line

This 2022 Bentayga S is the perfect choice for the executive driver who wants a modern Bentley that looks and feels aggressive without the typical new-car price tag. Given its GCC specification and high trim level, it represents a smart purchase for someone who plans to enjoy the car daily across the Emirates.
