Summary

This Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner represents the absolute peak of the grand touring sedan, featuring the legendary twin-turbocharged W12 engine that is now becoming a collector's item. With 37,000 km over its four-year life, it has been driven regularly enough to stay mechanically healthy but sparingly enough to maintain its pristine Mulliner-specific cabin. The white exterior is a prime choice for the GCC market, offering the best heat reflection and the strongest resale potential in the region. This trim level is significantly more exclusive than the standard V8 or W12 models, adding bespoke details that set it apart at any executive gathering or valet. For the GCC buyer, this is a rare opportunity to own a hand-assembled masterpiece that combines supercar speed with unmatched rear-seat luxury.

This Car vs Other 2022 Flying Spurs

With 37,000 km on the clock, this Flying Spur has averaged just over 9,000 km per year, which is well below the typical 20,000 km seen in the GCC used market. The white paintwork is the most sought-after color in the UAE and wider region, ensuring it holds its value better than darker alternatives. While many 2022 models on the market are the V8 variant, this is the full 12-cylinder Mulliner, making it a considerably rarer find.

MULLINER vs Lower Trims

The Mulliner trim adds a level of craftsmanship that exceeds the standard Flying Spur W12, including the unique 'Double Diamond' front grille and 22-inch Mulliner wheels with self-leveling center badges. Inside, you get the Mulliner Driving Specification as standard, featuring 3D leather door panels and diamond-in-diamond quilting. It also includes the high-demand rotating display and electrically operated picnic tables in the rear, which are often expensive options on lower trims.

Flying Spur vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Rolls-Royce Ghost focus almost entirely on comfort, the Flying Spur W12 offers a more engaging drive with its rear-wheel steering and 48V active anti-roll system. It offers a higher top speed and more athletic handling than the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, making it the preferred choice for owners who enjoy driving as much as being chauffeured. Its 90-litre fuel tank is ideal for long-distance cruising between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi or across GCC borders.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the W12 powertrain typically averages around 15.0 L/100km on a combined cycle, though city driving in heavy traffic will see this increase. Bentley has an established authorized service network across major GCC cities, with standard service intervals recommended every 10,000 km or annually to maintain engine health in the local climate. As the W12 engine is being phased out, this specific configuration is expected to show stronger value retention than previous generations as it becomes more collectible.

Performance & Capability

The 6.0-litre W12 produces a massive 900 Nm of torque, allowing this large sedan to reach 100 km/h in a staggering 3.8 seconds. It features a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system that can send up to 480 Nm to the front wheels when needed, providing exceptional stability on rain-slicked highways or gravel. The top speed of 333 km/h makes it one of the fastest four-door cars ever produced, a capability that ensures effortless overtaking at any legal speed.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC summer, featuring four-zone climate control and ventilated seats with massage functions for both front and rear passengers. The Mulliner-exclusive 'diamond-milled' finish on the consoles and the use of three-tone leather hides create an atmosphere of immense luxury. Acoustic glass and extensive insulation ensure the interior remains whisper-quiet, even during high-speed desert highway runs.

Safety

This Flying Spur is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including a 360-degree camera system that is essential for maneuvering such a large vehicle in tight urban spaces. Standard ADAS features include blind-spot monitoring for fast-moving highway traffic, lane-keep assist, and a head-up display that keeps vital information in the driver's line of sight. Night vision and adaptive cruise control further enhance safety during long-distance night drives between emirates.

The bottom line

This is the ultimate specification for a Bentley enthusiast who demands the prestige of a Mulliner and the power of a W12. It is a perfectly maintained, low-mileage example that stands as a final tribute to Bentley's legendary 12-cylinder heritage.
