Summary

This 2022 BMW 540i M Sport Comfort strikes a perfect balance between executive refinement and the dynamic performance expected of the B58 engine. With 47,000 km, its mileage is significantly lower than the GCC average for this model year, making it a highly attractive option for those seeking a near-new ownership experience. The Grey exterior is a high-demand, strong resale color in the regional market, standing up well to the desert environment while maintaining a professional aesthetic. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it features the cooling and software optimization necessary for the local climate, unlike North American imports. This listing represents one of the most balanced mid-range luxury sedans available today, offering straight-six smoothness that rivals four-cylinder alternatives cannot match.

This Car vs Other 2022 540is

With just 47,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 15,000 km per year, which is well below the typical 20,000–25,000 km seen on GCC-based executive sedans. The Grey finish is arguably the most sensible choice for the UAE, masking dust better than black while retaining higher resale value than niche colors. Being a genuine GCC-spec example, it retains full compatibility with local authorized service centers and regional map data.

M SPORT COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The M Sport Comfort trim adds significant value over the base 530i, most notably replacing the four-cylinder engine with the legendary 3.0L inline-six. This specific trim includes the M Aerodynamics package and M Sport suspension for sharper handling on fast-moving highways like the E11. Inside, the Comfort package introduces multi-contour seats and enhanced cabin materials that are essential for maintaining driver focus during long cross-emirate commutes.

540i vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Mercedes-Benz E450 or the Audi A6 55 TFSI, the 540i is frequently cited for its superior driver engagement and the legendary reliability of the B58 powertrain. Its 68-litre fuel tank provides a significant cruising range, making it better suited for long-distance travel between Dubai and Riyadh than smaller-capacity competitors. The BMW iDrive system remains a segment leader for ease of use while driving at highway speeds.

Running Costs & Resale

The 540i delivers a combined fuel consumption of approximately 9.4 L/100km, though highway efficiency can drop to 8.1 L/100km during steady-state cruising across the desert. BMW's Condition Based Service (CBS) typically requires maintenance every 12,000 to 15,000 km, with a robust network of authorized service centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. In the GCC, the 540i M Sport typically experiences a depreciation rate of 12–15% annually, holding its value better than the smaller-engined variants due to high enthusiast demand.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0-litre turbocharged engine produces 335 hp and 450 Nm of torque, enabling a verified 0–100 km/h sprint in just 5.2 seconds. This power is managed by the smooth ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, providing effortless overtaking capability on fast-moving UAE motorways. A top speed of 250 km/h is electronically limited, ensuring the car remains composed and quiet even at the upper end of legal speed limits.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the high-temperature GCC climate, featuring a powerful multi-zone climate control system and high-quality insulation that keeps the interior cool even in peak summer. The 530-litre boot provides ample space for family luggage or golf sets, while the rear seat configuration offers genuine room for three adults. Acoustic glazing ensures the cockpit remains a quiet sanctuary, shielded from road noise during long-distance drives.

Safety

This 540i comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features including Frontal Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Active Blind Spot Detection, which are invaluable for navigating multi-lane highway traffic. The standard parking sensors and rearview camera assist with maneuvering in tight urban parking structures, while the advanced stability control system ensures predictable handling on both sandy road shoulders and wet asphalt.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec 540i M Sport Comfort is the ideal choice for a professional who demands a low-mileage executive sedan that balances high-speed highway stability with everyday regional reliability.
