Summary

This 2022 Ferrari Roma represents a rare opportunity to acquire a nearly-new example of Maranello’s most elegant grand tourer with delivery-level mileage. Finished in a striking yellow that commands attention on UAE roads, this specific vehicle offers a bold alternative to the more common silver and grey configurations often seen in the GCC. The Roma stands out from its rivals by blending a mid-front-engine layout with a sophisticated 2+2 seating configuration, making it more practical than a mid-engine supercar while retaining genuine Ferrari performance. Its turbocharged V8 has been consistently praised for its responsiveness, which is essential for the quick bursts of speed required on the busy highways of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. For a buyer in the GCC, this listing is particularly attractive because the Roma has shown remarkable value retention in the local market compared to its European peers. Owning a car with such minimal use ensures that you are stepping into a vehicle that still feels and smells brand new, with all mechanical components operating at their peak efficiency.

This Car vs Other 2022 Romas

When comparing this Ferrari Roma to other 2022 models currently available in the GCC, the primary differentiator is the exceptionally low odometer reading of just 600 km. While the average 2022 vehicle in this region typically covers between 20,000 and 25,000 km per year, this car has been kept in climate-controlled storage and used sparingly, preserving its showroom condition. The vibrant yellow exterior is a high-impact choice that actually benefits resale value in a market like the UAE, where unique and bold Ferrari specifications are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Many other Romas on the market may have originated as high-mileage demonstrators, but this example offers the mechanical integrity of a fresh delivery. This car represents a significant advantage for a buyer who wants to bypass the wait times associated with new orders while still receiving a vehicle that is effectively in its break-in period. The interior remains pristine, showing no signs of the wear often caused by the intense GCC summer sun on leather surfaces.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The Ferrari Roma is offered in a highly bespoke 'Standard' trim that acts as a canvas for significant factory options, and this specific unit is equipped with features that GCC buyers value most. Unlike entry-level grand tourers, the Roma includes the advanced Side Slip Control 6.0 system, which is a massive safety and performance benefit when navigating the varied road textures found across the Emirates. This vehicle features the high-performance LED matrix headlights and a sophisticated digital cockpit that elevates the driving experience far beyond base-model competitors. In the GCC climate, the high-output climate control system in this trim is designed to reach cabin temperature targets rapidly, a necessity during the peak summer months. The inclusion of the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission—derived from the SF90 Stradale—provides a level of mechanical sophistication that lower-tier sports cars simply cannot match. Every surface is finished in premium materials that have been selected for their durability against heat and humidity, ensuring the cabin stays quiet and refined for years to come.

Roma vs Segment Rivals

The Ferrari Roma competes in a prestigious segment against the likes of the Aston Martin DB11 and the Bentley Continental GT, but it offers a distinctly sharper driving experience. While rivals often lean heavily toward soft cruising, the Roma maintains the aggressive DNA of a true Italian supercar, making it better suited for spirited drives through the Jebel Jais mountain passes. Its 3.9L turbocharged V8 is more compact and lighter than the heavy V12s or W12s found in competitors, resulting in superior agility and better front-end turn-in during city driving. For the GCC driver, the Roma provides a more modern infotainment and interface setup than the aging systems found in some British rivals, ensuring better connectivity during long commutes between emirates. The Roma also offers a more usable boot space than many mid-engine alternatives, allowing for weekend luggage or shopping trips at the Dubai Mall without compromise. Furthermore, the brand prestige of the Prancing Horse remains the gold standard for social and professional presence across the Gulf region.

Running Costs & Resale

Operating a Ferrari Roma in the GCC involves a commitment to premium maintenance, but this is offset by the brand's legendary resale performance. In the UAE and Saudi Arabian markets, Ferrari models typically experience a lower annual depreciation rate—often between 10% and 12%—compared to the 18% seen in other European luxury brands. Fuel consumption for the 3.9L V8 is surprisingly efficient on long-distance highway cruises between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, though stop-start traffic in Riyadh will see those figures rise. It is essential to use high-octane 98-grade petrol to maintain the engine's performance and longevity in high-ambient temperatures. Service intervals are generally every 20,000 km or once a year, and the GCC is home to world-class authorized service centers like Al Tayer Motors and Fast Auto Technic. These centers provide specialized cooling system checks and software updates tailored for our regional heat, ensuring the car remains reliable. Because this car is 'Other' spec, buyers should verify service package portability with local dealers, although the low mileage makes it a highly desirable asset regardless.

Performance & Capability

The performance of the Ferrari Roma is defined by its 620 hp output, which propels the coupe from 0 to 100 km/h in a staggering 3.4 seconds. This level of acceleration places it in the top tier of grand tourers, providing effortless overtaking power on high-speed motorways like the E11. The top speed exceeds 320 km/h, a figure that highlights the car's aerodynamic efficiency and cooling capacity, even when the outside temperature is soaring. The rear-wheel-drive configuration is managed by the E-Diff 3 electronic differential, which provides incredible traction on the dusty or sandy surfaces occasionally encountered on UAE roads. There are five Manettino positions, including a 'Race' mode for track sessions at the Dubai Autodrome and a 'Wet' mode that provides extra security during the region's rare but intense rainstorms. The 8-speed gearbox is exceptionally smooth in automatic mode, making the car surprisingly docile and easy to drive in heavy city traffic. Despite its low-slung appearance, the Roma handles speed bumps and entry ramps in modern GCC developments with a level of composure that encourages daily use.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Roma features a 'Dual Cockpit' concept that creates separate functional cells for the driver and passenger, providing a unique sense of involvement for both. The 2+2 seating arrangement offers enough space for small children or extra storage, making it more versatile than a strict two-seater for family-oriented GCC owners. The air conditioning system is engineered to handle extreme heat, with powerful blowers and strategically placed vents that ensure a cool cabin environment even in July. Ferrari has utilized a new generation of sound-deadening materials, keeping the cabin remarkably quiet during high-speed highway travel, though the V8's roar remains audible when you push the throttle. The 8.4-inch vertical touchscreen is intuitive and controls most cabin functions, reducing physical clutter and creating a minimalist, modern aesthetic. The seats are highly adjustable and provide excellent lumbar support, which is vital for those long-distance drives across the borders of the GCC. High-quality leather and Alcantara finishes throughout the interior are treated to resist the fading effects of intense UV exposure common in this part of the world.

Safety

Safety in the Ferrari Roma is comprehensive, featuring an array of advanced driver assistance systems that are particularly beneficial on the fast-moving, multi-lane highways of the Gulf. The car includes autonomous emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring, which are crucial for navigating the dense and fast-paced traffic found in major GCC cities. Adaptive cruise control is also available, making the long, straight desert roads between cities much less taxing for the driver. The chassis is constructed from a mix of aluminum and high-strength alloys, providing a rigid safety cell that doesn't compromise the car's lightweight performance. Stability control and the F1-Trac traction control system work together to ensure the car remains planted, even if you encounter patches of sand or gravel on the tarmac. Front and side airbags are standard, and the car's advanced lighting system provides exceptional visibility during night-time desert driving where street lighting may be limited. These features ensure that while the Roma is a performance machine, it is also a safe and responsible choice for the discerning driver.

The bottom line

This Ferrari Roma is the perfect choice for a collector or executive who wants the prestige of a new Ferrari without the lengthy waitlist. Its 600 km mileage and bold color make it one of the most compelling performance car opportunities currently available in the GCC market.
