Summary

This GCC-spec Honda Accord EX is a standout choice for those seeking a modern executive sedan that balances fuel efficiency with significant cabin space. With its silver exterior—a high-demand color for resale in the local market—and mileage that aligns perfectly with the average for a two-year-old vehicle in the UAE, this listing offers long-term reliability. The 2022 model year benefits from the refined 10th-generation design, offering a more premium interior than many of its rivals. Honda’s reputation for ice-cold air conditioning and robust engineering makes this an ideal daily driver for the region's demanding climate. For a buyer wanting a car that holds its value while providing immense rear legroom and modern tech, this Accord is a highly logical acquisition.

This Car vs Other 2022 Accords

At 68,000 km, this vehicle sits at a standard usage level for the GCC market, where annual averages often reach 30,000 km due to inter-emirate highway commuting. The silver exterior is one of the top three colors for value retention in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring a smoother exit when you decide to upgrade. Choosing a GCC-spec model over imported alternatives ensures that the cooling systems and radiator are built for 45°C+ temperatures.

EX vs Lower Trims

The EX trim provides a significant jump in comfort over the base LX, most notably adding a power moonroof and smart entry with walk-away auto-lock—features highly valued by GCC buyers. It also upgrades the infotainment to an 8-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration, which feels much more modern than the smaller units in lower trims. Additionally, the EX typically includes dual-zone automatic climate control, allowing both driver and passenger to maintain their preferred comfort levels in the summer heat.

Accord vs Segment Rivals

The Accord leads the midsize sedan segment with a massive 570-litre boot, significantly outpacing the Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima for cargo versatility. While the Camry is known for its hybrid efficiency, the Accord’s 1.5L turbo engine offers more low-end torque, making highway overtaking at speed much more effortless. Its long wheelbase translates directly into best-in-class rear legroom, which is a major factor for those using the car for family trips across the Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.5L turbocharged engine delivers a respectable 8.9 L/100km in mixed driving conditions, though conservative highway cruising can bring this figure down further. Service intervals in the GCC are typically set at 10,000 km or 6 months, and with Al-Futtaim’s extensive network in the UAE and Abdullah Hashim in Saudi Arabia, parts are always readily available. The Accord enjoys one of the lowest depreciation rates in its class, often retaining 80-85% of its value after three years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine produces a verified 198 hp and 260 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 8.5 seconds. The CVT is widely regarded as the best in the segment, tuned specifically to minimize the 'rubber-band' effect and provide a natural feel during rapid acceleration. On long highway stretches like the E11, the car feels exceptionally stable and well-planted even at sustained speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around space and refinement, featuring soft-touch materials on the dash and immense room for five adults. The air conditioning system is tailored for the Middle East, with dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers stay cool during the peak of summer. Large door pockets and a deep center console cubby provide practical storage for long road trips between cities.

Safety

This Accord is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including 8 standard airbags and an Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure designed to deflect energy in a collision. Active features like a multi-angle rearview camera, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Brake Assist provide peace of mind in fast-moving highway traffic. The EX trim also includes front and rear parking sensors to make navigating tight city parking spaces effortless.

The bottom line

This Accord EX is the perfect match for a professional or small family looking for a reliable, high-resale sedan that handles the GCC heat with ease. With balanced mileage and the right regional specs, it represents one of the safest and most efficient used car investments currently available.
