Summary

This 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited is a standout choice for GCC families, offering the ideal balance of three-row utility and premium features. With its Black exterior maintaining high resale appeal across the region, this 7-seater represents a significant step up from base models with refined leather and advanced tech. The 3.6L Pentastar engine is widely regarded in the UAE and Saudi Arabia for its reliability and ease of maintenance in extreme heat. Having covered average mileage for its age, this GCC-spec SUV is perfectly seasoned for long highway commutes between emirates or weekend family adventures. It offers a more premium cabin experience than its Japanese rivals while retaining the rugged off-road DNA Jeep is famous for.

This Car vs Other 2022 Grand Cherokees

With approximately 107,709 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits within the typical annual range for the GCC, where long-distance highway driving is common. The Black exterior is one of the most sought-after colors for resale in the local market, often commanding a quicker sale than brighter alternatives. Being a GCC-spec model, it features a cooling system and air conditioning calibration specifically designed to handle summer temperatures exceeding 45°C.

LIMITED vs Lower Trims

The Limited trim is a significant upgrade over the Laredo and Altitude, introducing standard Capri leather-trimmed upholstery and heated seating for both the front and second-row passengers. It also adds a power liftgate with adjustable height and a premium six-speaker audio system with active noise cancellation for a much quieter highway cruise. For the driver, the Limited includes memory settings for the seats and mirrors, which is a major convenience for multi-driver households in the UAE.

Grand Cherokee vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Ford Explorer and Toyota Highlander, the Grand Cherokee leads with its authentic 4x4 heritage and the Selec-Terrain traction management system. Its fuel tank capacity is generous for the segment, allowing for longer stretches between fill-ups on cross-country drives like Dubai to Salalah. The Jeep also offers a more sophisticated digital cockpit experience, featuring a 10.25-inch digital cluster that feels a generation ahead of many segment competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.6L V6 typically averages around 10.4 L/100km, performing efficiently on the open highways of the Emirates. Jeep's authorized service network is extensive across the UAE and wider GCC, ensuring parts availability and specialized technicians are always nearby. This model historically enjoys strong value retention in the local used market, particularly for GCC-spec units with complete service histories.

Performance & Capability

The 3.6L Pentastar V6 delivers a reliable 293 hp, providing smooth power for overtaking on the E11 and sufficient torque for light desert excursions. The Quadra-Trac 4WD system works in tandem with the Selec-Terrain dial, allowing you to optimize performance for Sand, Snow, or Mud at a moment's notice. With a ground clearance of approximately 215 mm, it easily navigates high curbs and uneven terrain encountered during weekend family outings.

Comfort & Cabin

The extended wheelbase of the 7-seat configuration ensures that even third-row passengers have usable legroom, supported by dedicated rear climate vents for summer comfort. The cabin is insulated with acoustic glass to minimize road noise during high-speed travel, while the Uconnect 5 system provides wireless smartphone integration. Ambient LED lighting and leather touchpoints create an upscale atmosphere that makes long family road trips feel far less fatiguing.

Safety

Standard safety on the Limited trim includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Active Lane Management, which are vital for safety on fast-moving multi-lane highways. It also features Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking and a ParkView rear back-up camera with ParkSense to make navigating tight city parking garages effortless.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a premium 7-seater that doesn't sacrifice off-road capability for family comfort, this GCC-spec Limited trim is the most logical and value-retaining choice in the current market.
