• 66-litre fuel tank

Summary

This 2022 Lexus IS300 AWD is an exceptional find in the UAE market, pairing a robust naturally aspirated V6 with the added security of all-wheel drive. With less than 15,000 km on the clock, it represents a significantly low-mileage opportunity compared to the typical 25,000 km annual average for cars of this age in the GCC. The classic black exterior is a perennial favorite for resale value in the region, ensuring your investment remains protected. While rivals often move toward smaller turbocharged engines, this Lexus maintains the silky-smooth delivery of a six-cylinder powerhouse. For a GCC buyer, the combination of Japanese reliability and a cooling-focused interior makes this the ideal premium commuter.

This Car vs Other 2022 IS300s

With only 14,992 km, this IS300 sits well below the average mileage for 2022 models in the GCC, which typically reach 40,000 km or more by this stage. This low usage translates to a fresher interior and less wear on mechanical components, providing a 'like-new' ownership experience. The black exterior is highly sought after in the UAE used market, consistently holding a premium over more niche colors during resale.

AWD vs Lower Trims

Unlike the entry-level RWD trim which uses a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder, this AWD model is powered by a more traditional and durable 3.5L V6 engine. It also adds standard all-wheel drive for superior traction on varying road surfaces and often includes premium interior upgrades like ventilated seating and a power moonroof. This mechanical configuration is highly preferred by GCC drivers who value the linear power delivery of a naturally aspirated V6.

IS300 vs Segment Rivals

The Lexus IS300 competes directly with the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4, standing out through its superior long-term reliability and lower maintenance costs. While European rivals focus on high-strung turbochargers, the Lexus offers a relaxed yet capable V6 that handles the extreme GCC summer heat with greater ease. Its 66-litre fuel tank provides competitive range for long-distance drives between Emirates like Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus maintains some of the strongest resale values in the GCC, typically depreciating only 8-10% annually compared to 15% for many luxury competitors. Fuel consumption is approximately 10.8 L/100km combined, which is efficient for a V6 in GCC city traffic. Owners benefit from an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts and professional maintenance are always accessible. As an American spec vehicle, it offers high technical value, though buyers should note it may not carry the local dealer warranty.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5-liter V6 delivers a refined 260 horsepower, allowing for effortless highway overtaking and a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 6.1 seconds. The All-Wheel Drive system provides added stability during the rare but heavy rains in the region or on sandy coastal roads. With a top speed of 230 km/h, it is perfectly suited for the UAE's high-speed highway networks, maintaining composure and quietness at speed.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the Gulf climate, featuring high-performance air conditioning and standard ventilated front seats that are essential during summer months. It seats five comfortably in a NuLuxe-trimmed interior with acoustic glass that provides excellent insulation from external heat and road noise. The 310-litre boot provides practical space for executive use, while the 8-inch display ensures seamless connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety

The 2022 IS300 comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+, which includes Pre-Collision sensing and Pedestrian Detection. It features ten standard airbags and Blind Spot Monitoring, which is vital for safe lane changes on busy multi-lane highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist further reduce driver fatigue during long-distance desert drives.

The bottom line

This is a rare, low-mileage V6 sedan that offers the perfect balance of Lexus luxury and bulletproof reliability for the discerning GCC professional.
