Summary

This 2022 RX 450h Prestige represents an exceptional buying opportunity in the UAE market, having covered just 21,000 km in its first four years of service. Finished in White, the most sought-after resale color in the GCC, this low-mileage hybrid offers significant fuel savings during Sharjah-Dubai commutes compared to its petrol-only rivals. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it provides full peace of mind with regional climate-tuned air conditioning and an extensive authorized service network across the Emirates. For the buyer prioritizing refinement and long-term value retention, this RX combines Lexus's legendary reliability with a modern, electrified powertrain that handles stop-start city traffic with unmatched efficiency.

This Car vs Other 2022 RX450hs

With only 21,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the GCC, making it one of the freshest examples available. The White exterior is widely considered the strongest resale color in the local market, offering better heat rejection and higher demand at the time of trade-in. Its low mileage and regional specification make it a highly competitive choice for buyers seeking a near-new experience in a four-year-old car.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim elevates the RX experience by adding 20-inch aluminum wheels and the high-fidelity 12-speaker Lexus Premium sound system, which is a major step up from the base 9-speaker unit. It also features standard 3-eye LED projector headlamps for superior night visibility on unlit desert highways and a panoramic view monitor that makes parking in tight urban spaces significantly easier. These premium additions are highly valued by GCC buyers and directly contribute to the car's superior resale appeal.

RX450h vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the BMW X5 and Infiniti QX60 offer strong performance, the RX 450h leads the segment in urban efficiency, using its hybrid system to drastically reduce consumption in heavy traffic. Lexus consistently outperforms European competitors in the GCC for long-term reliability and air conditioning performance, which is a critical factor during the summer months. Furthermore, the Lexus holds a distinct advantage in parts availability and specialized service expertise throughout the region.

Running Costs & Resale

The hybrid powertrain achieves a manufacturer-estimated combined 7.9 L/100km, which is remarkably efficient for a mid-size luxury SUV. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km or 6 months at authorized Al-Futtaim centers, with a widespread network ensuring convenient maintenance from Abu Dhabi to Ras Al Khaimah. Lexus vehicles in the UAE generally experience lower annual depreciation (8–10%) compared to European luxury brands, making the RX one of the safest financial investments in the pre-owned segment.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5-litre V6 works in tandem with electric motors to produce a combined 308 horsepower, enabling a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 7.7 seconds. This hybrid setup provides instant torque for smooth highway overtaking while maintaining a quiet, refined cabin experience. The All-Wheel Drive system and multiple drive modes, including EV and ECO, allow the driver to tailor the vehicle’s response to different road conditions, from long cruises across the Emirates to wet weather stability.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of Japanese craftsmanship, featuring ventilated front seats that are essential for the UAE's high summer temperatures. The Prestige trim includes premium leather upholstery and a 12.3-inch touchscreen display that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless connectivity. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated climate control vents and a spacious seating arrangement, making it an ideal choice for families who frequently take long road trips.

Safety

This Lexus comes equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0, providing a comprehensive suite of active safety technologies. Standard features include Adaptive Cruise Control for effortless highway driving, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Keeping Assist. These systems are particularly beneficial for navigating the fast-moving multi-lane traffic common in Dubai and Riyadh, ensuring a secure environment for all five occupants.

The bottom line

For the executive or family buyer who values efficiency and resale security, this exceptionally low-mileage, GCC-spec RX 450h Prestige is the definitive choice in the luxury hybrid market.
