Summary

This 2022 Lincoln Aviator Reserve offers a high-performance alternative to traditional European luxury SUVs, balancing American power with sophisticated road manners. With average mileage for a GCC-owned vehicle of this age, it has been driven primarily on the region's well-maintained highways, ensuring the twin-turbo engine has been properly exercised. The Silver exterior is a premier choice for the local market, offering excellent heat reflection and maintaining strong resale demand across the Emirates. Buyers looking for a spacious seven-seater will appreciate the Reserve trim's significant technology and comfort upgrades over the base model. The Aviator is particularly well-suited for long-distance family travel between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where its powerful cooling and refined cabin insulation truly shine.

This Car vs Other 2022 Aviators

With 100,000 km, this Aviator sits exactly at the average expected mileage for a four-year-old vehicle in the GCC, reflecting the region's frequent long-distance commutes. The Silver finish is one of the most practical and sought-after colors in the local used market, significantly aiding heat management and future resale value. As a Reserve trim, it represents a substantial step up in equipment compared to the standard Aviator, providing features typically reserved for flagship models.

Reserve vs Lower Trims

The Reserve trim adds essential premium features over the Standard model that are highly valued by GCC buyers, including a 360-degree camera system for effortless parking in tight city spots. It upgrades the interior with premium leather seating and quad-zone climate control, ensuring all seven passengers remain comfortable during peak summer. You also benefit from a 14-speaker Revel audio system and ambient lighting, which significantly elevate the evening driving experience.

Aviator vs Segment Rivals

The Aviator leads competitors like the Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7 in pure performance, offering a standard 400 hp twin-turbo V6 that outperforms their entry-level four-cylinder engines. Its 10-speed automatic transmission provides smoother highway cruising than the eight-speed units found in many European rivals. Furthermore, the Aviator offers more generous front-row legroom and a larger fuel tank, making it a superior choice for cross-country GCC road trips.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.0L twin-turbo engine averages approximately 10.1 L/100km, which is efficient for a 400 hp SUV during long-distance highway driving. Service intervals are typically every 12,000 km or 6 months, and Lincoln’s authorized service network is well-established across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While American luxury SUVs depreciate faster than Japanese equivalents, the Reserve trim holds value better than base models due to its high demand in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

The 400 hp twin-turbo V6 delivers effortless acceleration, reaching 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds, which provides confidence during fast highway merging and overtaking. The All-Wheel Drive system and selectable drive modes, including 'Slippery' and 'Deep', allow for composed handling during occasional gravel track excursions or sudden rainstorms. With a braked towing capacity of up to 3,039 kg when properly equipped, it is also capable of hauling jet skis or small boats for weekend adventures.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for GCC comfort, featuring quad-zone climate control that allows rear passengers to set their own temperatures independently. The 7-seat layout is versatile, with high-quality leather and premium materials that stay cooler than synthetic alternatives under the sun. Excellent acoustic glass insulation ensures the interior remains a quiet sanctuary, effectively blocking out wind and road noise during high-speed highway travel.

Safety

This Aviator comes standard with the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 suite, which is essential for safely navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic in the GCC. Key features include Blind Spot Monitoring, Cross-Traffic Alert with Braking, and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. The 360-degree camera provides a bird's-eye view, making this large SUV easy to maneuver in crowded mall parking lots and narrow urban streets.

The bottom line

This Aviator Reserve is the ideal choice for a family seeking a high-tech, powerful American SUV that is perfectly specced for the GCC climate. It represents a balanced opportunity to own a premium seven-seater with the most desirable regional options at a competitive market position.
