Summary

This 2022 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE represents the absolute peak of Affalterbach’s engineering, blending Formula 1-derived hybrid technology with a thunderous V8. With only 22,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 25,000 km per year seen in the GCC, offering a pristine ownership prospect. The striking Green exterior is a signature AMG performance color that carries strong resale appeal among enthusiasts in the UAE and wider region. As the most powerful series-production Mercedes-AMG ever made, it offers a level of exclusivity and technology that few rivals can match. For a buyer looking for supercar acceleration in a practical four-door body, this low-mileage hybrid is a premier choice.

This Car vs Other 2022 AMG GTs

At 22,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is exceptionally low for a four-year-old car in the GCC, where high-speed highway commuting typically racks up over 80,000 km in the same period. The Japanese regional specification often indicates a car that has been maintained to the highest standards of cosmetic and mechanical care. The unique Green finish stands out in a market dominated by white and silver, making it a highly desirable spec for local collectors.

63 S E PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

The E PERFORMANCE trim is a significant leap over the standard GT 63 S, adding a rear-axle electric motor and a 6.1 kWh high-performance battery for an additional 204 hp. It comes standard with AMG ceramic high-performance composite brakes and the AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension with a specific hybrid tune. Inside, you receive the hybrid-specific MBUX displays and the latest AMG Performance steering wheel with integrated drive-mode dials.

AMG GT vs Segment Rivals

The AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE leads rivals like the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and the BMW M8 Gran Coupe in raw power output and 0-100 km/h acceleration. Its F1-inspired energy deployment system provides instantaneous torque that purely petrol-powered competitors cannot match. The 4-door coupe silhouette offers more aggressive styling than its rivals while maintaining enough rear-seat comfort for executive use across the Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption is remarkably efficient for this power class, averaging approximately 7.9 L/100km in combined cycles, though spirited GCC highway driving will increase this. As a Japanese spec import, buyers should note that authorized Mercedes-Benz centers in the UAE provide excellent parts support, though warranty status should be verified locally. The E PERFORMANCE trim holds its value better than entry-level AMG models due to its flagship status and limited availability in the used market.

Performance & Capability

The headline 2.9-second 0-100 km/h time makes this one of the fastest four-door cars on the planet, ideal for effortless overtaking on the E11. With over 1,400 Nm of system torque, the car delivers relentless pulling power even at high cruising speeds. The fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system and rear-axle steering ensure the 2.4-ton sedan feels agile through the corners of Jebel Hafeet.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features four individual seats upholstered in premium Nappa leather, providing a cockpit-like feel for all passengers. Standard ventilated front seats are essential for the GCC summer, ensuring comfort even when temperatures exceed 45°C. The 14-speaker Burmester surround sound system and multi-zone climate control create a refined atmosphere that remains quiet even during high-speed travel.

Safety

This flagship model features a comprehensive safety suite including Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, which is perfect for long highway drives between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Standard equipment includes a 360° camera, Blind Spot Assist, and Active Lane Keeping Assist to navigate fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The heavy-duty ceramic brakes offer superior fade resistance, providing consistent stopping power in the extreme heat of the Gulf.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own the most powerful Mercedes-AMG in a standout color with very low mileage for the GCC market. It is the perfect acquisition for the enthusiast who demands supercar performance without sacrificing four-door luxury.
