Summary

This 2022 CLS350 AMG represents the final era of Mercedes-Benz’s iconic four-door coupe design, finished in high-resale Silver. With 299 hp delivered through a refined rear-wheel-drive setup, it balances executive presence with surprising efficiency for long GCC highway stretches. While the mileage is higher than average for its age, it reflects a car that has been primarily used for inter-emirate travel, keeping the engine and gearbox at optimal operating temperatures. In the local market, the AMG trim remains the most sought-after for its aggressive styling and premium cabin tech. For a buyer looking for S-Class luxury with a sportier, more exclusive silhouette, this GCC-spec listing offers a compelling entry into the modern Mercedes lineup.

This Car vs Other 2022 CLS350s

While many 2022 models in the UAE show lower mileage, this specific unit’s history suggests consistent highway use, which is often preferable to the stop-start wear of city traffic. The Silver exterior is one of the top three colors for value retention in the GCC, ensuring easier resale compared to niche shades. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it features the reinforced cooling systems and AC hardware necessary to maintain performance during extreme summer heat.

AMG vs Lower Trims

Choosing the AMG trim over the standard CLS adds critical aesthetic and functional upgrades that define the model's character. This includes the more aggressive front apron, 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, and a flat-bottom sport steering wheel. Inside, you benefit from the full digital cockpit and premium materials that are often optional or downgraded in base variants.

CLS350 vs Segment Rivals

The CLS leads rivals like the Audi A7 and BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe in pure design elegance and cabin isolation. Its 73-litre fuel tank provides a significant range advantage for cross-border drives to Oman or Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, the M254 engine’s 400 Nm of torque provides a smoother power delivery for overtaking compared to the smaller-displacement engines found in entry-level competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption averages approximately 7.5 L/100km on the highway, making it one of the most efficient grand tourers in its class. In GCC conditions, service intervals are typically every 15,000 km, though specialist workshops in Dubai often recommend minor oil changes every 10,000 km for engine longevity. Mercedes-Benz maintains a massive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, which helps stabilize depreciation at roughly 12-15% annually.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L turbocharged engine achieves 0–100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds, providing plenty of punch for fast-moving UAE motorways. The 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission is tuned for seamless shifts, ensuring the car remains in its optimal torque band during high-speed cruising. Rear-wheel drive preserves the classic Mercedes steering feel and agility that all-wheel-drive competitors sometimes lack.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary featuring the MBUX infotainment system with dual high-resolution displays as standard. Advanced sound insulation keeps the interior quiet even at 140 km/h, while the climate control system is specifically engineered to reach target temperatures quickly in 45°C weather. Despite the sloping roofline, the five-seat configuration offers ample space for executive commuting or small family trips.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive suite including Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and the Pre-Safe system which prepares the cabin for a collision. On long desert highways, the standard Attention Assist monitors for driver fatigue, a vital feature for safety in the region. The car also features multiple airbags and ISOFIX points, ensuring top-tier protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

For the executive who prioritizes style and long-distance comfort, this GCC-spec AMG trim offers the best of Mercedes design with a powertrain built for efficient regional travel.
