Summary

This 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE350 represents a refined entry into the luxury SUV segment, combining the prestige of the three-pointed star with practical efficiency. Its 60,000 km mileage is well below the typical 75,000 km expected for a vehicle of this age in the GCC, suggesting a gentler ownership history. The white exterior is a prime choice for the region, offering superior heat reflection and maintaining the highest resale liquidity in the local market. Equipped with a responsive 9G-TRONIC transmission and All-Wheel Drive, it provides stable performance for both urban commutes and inter-emirate highway travel. For a buyer seeking modern German engineering without the higher running costs of larger V8 engines, this GLE350 is a balanced and highly desirable option.

This Car vs Other 2022 GLE350s

With 60,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 20,000 km per year, which is lower than the GCC average for luxury family SUVs. Its white exterior finish is not only ideal for the local climate but remains the most sought-after color for second-hand buyers in the UAE. This combination of moderate mileage and high-demand color places this specific unit in a strong position for future value retention.

USA SPEC vs Lower Trims

The USA Spec on this model year includes premium features often optional in other markets, such as the standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and matching central touchscreen. It also features standard blind-spot monitoring and the MBUX voice-controlled infotainment system. This trim provides a significant jump in cabin technology and safety alerts compared to base-spec European imports.

GLE350 vs Segment Rivals

The GLE350 leads rivals like the BMW X5 and Lexus RX in cargo versatility, offering a class-leading 825 litres of boot space with the seats up. Its MBUX infotainment system is widely regarded as more intuitive for GCC drivers than many competitors' systems. Additionally, the GLE’s suspension is tuned for a softer, more comfort-oriented ride, making it superior for the long, straight highway stretches common in the region.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged engine offers a balanced fuel consumption of approximately 10.7 L/100km combined, which is highly efficient for a vehicle of this size in UAE stop-start traffic. Mercedes-Benz maintains one of the most comprehensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are readily available. While European luxury SUVs typically see a 12-15% annual depreciation in the GCC, the GLE remains one of the more resilient models in its class due to its high demand.

Performance & Capability

The 255 hp output ensures confident highway overtaking, while the 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive system provides excellent stability on sand-swept roads or during rare heavy rainfall. It features a 9-speed automatic transmission that keeps the engine in its optimal power band for smooth, quiet cruising at 120 km/h. With a braked towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg when properly equipped, it is surprisingly capable for weekend family outings involving small trailers or jet skis.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring powerful multi-zone climate control and a standard sunroof that adds an airy feel without compromising insulation. The dual 12.3-inch screens create a panoramic digital cockpit that is both high-tech and easy to navigate. Rear passengers benefit from generous legroom and dedicated cooling vents, essential for maintaining comfort during the summer months.

Safety

Safety is paramount with seven standard airbags and the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ pedigree. This model includes active brake assist, blind-spot monitoring, and the PRE-SAFE system, which prepares the cabin if a collision is sensed. For highway driving between emirates, the standard attention assist and crosswind assist provide an extra layer of security against fatigue and open-road gusts.

The bottom line

Perfect for the tech-conscious professional or a small family, this white GLE350 offers the best of Mercedes-Benz luxury with a mileage advantage that makes it a standout choice in the current market.
