Summary

This 2022 GLE350 4MATIC offers a balanced entry into the Mercedes-Benz luxury SUV lineup, combining a smooth 255 hp turbocharged powertrain with the all-weather confidence of all-wheel drive. For a GCC buyer, this white exterior is a strategic choice, providing superior heat reflection and maintaining higher resale demand in the local market. The model is highly regarded for its refined MBUX infotainment system and class-leading cabin quietness, making it a favorite for long-distance highway commutes. While this is an American spec vehicle, it offers a high standard equipment level that mirrors local luxury expectations, though buyers should verify individual service center compatibility for non-GCC parts. Given its age and mileage, it represents a modern, high-tech family SUV that has already moved past its steepest initial depreciation curve.

This Car vs Other 2022 GLE350s

With 70,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits at a typical mileage for a three-year-old car in the GCC, where annual averages often reach 25,000 km due to frequent inter-emirate travel. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for the GLE in the regional used market, ensuring better value retention and faster resale. As a 2022 model, it benefits from the latest MBUX software updates and interior refinements introduced for this generation.

USA SPEC vs Lower Trims

The USA SPEC GLE350 frequently includes standard features that are optional on other regional base models, such as the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and central touchscreen. This 4MATIC trim adds an advanced all-wheel-drive system over the base rear-wheel-drive version, providing significantly better stability on sand-swept highways or during occasional rain. You also get integrated smartphone integration and high-resolution blind-spot monitoring as standard, which are essential for navigating fast-moving GCC traffic.

GLE350 vs Segment Rivals

The GLE350 competes directly with the BMW X5 and Audi Q7, standing out with its more passenger-focused interior design and intuitive voice-control technology. Its 85-litre fuel tank is one of the largest in its class, offering a superior highway range for long drives between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi or across the Saudi border. While rivals focus on firm, sporty handling, the GLE prioritizes a supple ride quality that excels on the well-maintained highways of the GCC.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this turbocharged four-cylinder typically averages 10.7 L/100km in combined GCC driving conditions, reflecting efficient highway cruising and stop-start city traffic. As a premium German SUV, it sees an annual depreciation of approximately 12–15% in the local market, though its popularity ensures high liquidity compared to less common luxury brands. Mercedes-Benz maintains an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, though American spec vehicles may require independent specialist workshops for certain regional software or part specificities.

Performance & Capability

The 255 hp engine delivers a top speed of 210 km/h, providing ample power for high-speed overtaking on major expressways. With 370 Nm of torque available from as low as 1,800 rpm, the GLE350 feels responsive in urban settings and maintains steady momentum even when fully loaded with five passengers and luggage. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system and 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission work seamlessly to optimize traction on gravel roads or during the occasional desert weekend excursion.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a highlight of the GLE experience, featuring a dual-screen digital cockpit and 64-color ambient lighting that transforms the interior atmosphere at night. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered for high performance, a critical advantage for maintaining passenger comfort during extreme summer temperatures. With 630 litres of boot space, it easily accommodates large family grocery runs or several full-sized suitcases for airport transfers.

Safety

Safety is paramount in the GLE, which comes standard with Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and a sophisticated семь-airbag system. It has earned top safety ratings globally, including high marks for both adult and child occupant protection. These systems are particularly beneficial on high-speed GCC highways, where automated sensors provide an extra layer of protection against fast-moving traffic and sudden stops.

The bottom line

This 2022 GLE350 is an ideal match for a professional or family seeking a prestigious, high-tech SUV that balances fuel efficiency with the luxury experience Mercedes-Benz is known for.
