Summary

This Mitsubishi Attrage GLX Highline offers one of the most cost-effective ways to navigate the UAE's busy urban centers while keeping running costs remarkably low. With a fuel economy rating that rivals many modern hybrids, it is perfectly suited for daily Dubai-to-Abu Dhabi commutes where efficiency is the primary concern. As the Highline trim, this specific vehicle features desirable upgrades over the base model, including alloy wheels and a touchscreen interface, without sacrificing the reliability Mitsubishi is known for. Its Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, maintaining its appearance well against desert dust and heat while ensuring steady resale interest. For a buyer seeking a late-model, fuel-sipping sedan with proven regional durability, this Attrage is a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2022 Attrages

With 83,000 km, this Attrage sits within the typical usage range for a commuter sedan in the GCC, where annual averages often reach 25,000 km. The Grey metallic finish is a strategic advantage for local resale, as it hides dust better than white or black while retaining high demand in the used market. Being a GCC-spec model, it features the cooling and mechanical cooling systems necessary for long-term durability in extreme summer temperatures.

GLX HIGHLINE vs Lower Trims

The GLX Highline trim elevates the Attrage experience with several key additions that GCC buyers value, most notably 15-inch alloy wheels and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While lower trims often settle for basic steel wheels and standard radios, the Highline adds essential modern conveniences like a rearview camera and steering wheel audio controls. These upgrades make the car significantly more livable for daily UAE traffic and provide a stronger value proposition at the time of resale.

Attrage vs Segment Rivals

The Attrage leads its segment—rivaling the Suzuki Dzire and Kia Pegas—specifically in terms of pure fuel efficiency, offering an official 20.8 km/L rating that is difficult to match. While rivals may offer slightly different engine configurations, the Mitsubishi is widely recognized across the GCC for having a more accessible and affordable authorized service network. Its 450-liter boot capacity also makes it a surprisingly practical family sedan compared to smaller hatchbacks in the same price bracket.

Running Costs & Resale

The Attrage is famous in the UAE for its exceptionally low running costs, with a manufacturer-official consumption of 4.8 L/100km that makes it immune to fluctuating petrol prices. Maintenance is simplified by Mitsubishi's massive service footprint across every emirate and major city in the GCC, ensuring parts are always readily available and affordable. Historically, Japanese compact sedans like the Attrage retain roughly 65-70% of their value after three years, making them one of the safest financial investments in the sub-compact category.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 1.2-liter MIVEC engine, the Attrage is tuned for smooth, efficient urban mobility rather than outright speed. The INVECS-III CVT transmission is designed to keep the engine in its most efficient power band, providing a quiet and effortless experience in stop-start city traffic. While it maintains a top speed of 170 km/h, its real strength lies in its 4.8-meter turning radius, which makes it one of the easiest cars to park and maneuver in crowded areas like Deira or Bur Dubai.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Highline trim offers a comfortable 5-seat layout with an air conditioning system specifically calibrated for the extreme GCC climate. The cabin is designed with practicality in mind, featuring power windows, keyless entry, and a center console that provides ample storage for daily essentials. The inclusion of a modern touchscreen with smartphone integration ensures that even long highway drives between Emirates remain connected and entertaining.

Safety

Safety is managed through Mitsubishi's RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body construction, which effectively absorbs impact energy. This trim comes standard with dual front airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Active Stability Control (ASC) to maintain traction on sandy or rain-slicked roads. Additionally, the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Hill Start Assist provide extra layers of security for daily driving across the region's diverse road conditions.

The bottom line

Perfect for the budget-conscious professional or a small family, this Attrage Highline combines class-leading fuel economy with the reliability of a GCC-spec Mitsubishi.
