Summary

This 2022 Nissan Patrol NISMO is a premier choice for those seeking the ultimate balance of Japanese reliability and performance tuning in the GCC. With average annual mileage for a regional SUV, this white example maintains strong resale appeal and aesthetic longevity in the desert sun. The NISMO trim elevates the standard Patrol experience with motorsport-derived aero and a hand-tuned engine, making it a distinct standout against more common family variants. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is purpose-built to handle extreme summer temperatures while offering the reassurance of the region's most extensive authorized service network. It remains the top-tier selection for buyers who require eight seats without sacrificing highway presence or V8 character.

This Car vs Other 2022 Patrols

At 58,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is comfortably within the average range for a 2022 model year in the GCC, where annual highway driving typically reaches 25,000 km. Its white exterior is the highest-demand color in the regional used market, ensuring faster resale and better heat reflection. This specific unit offers a balanced entry point for a buyer looking for a modern Y62 facelift with its mechanical integrity fully intact.

NISMO vs Lower Trims

The NISMO trim adds a significant performance edge over the LE Platinum City, including a Takumi-tuned V8 producing 428 hp and a specialized Bilstein suspension system for improved high-speed stability. Inside, you gain NISMO-exclusive Alcantara and leather upholstery, carbon fiber trim, and a signature red tachometer. The exterior is instantly recognizable by its 22-inch forged alloy wheels and functional aerodynamic body kit with the iconic red pinstripe.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, the Patrol NISMO offers a more visceral, naturally aspirated V8 soundtrack and a broader interior cabin feel for eight passengers. It leads rivals like the Chevrolet Tahoe RST in terms of sheer off-road heritage while providing a more premium, NISMO-specific cockpit. The 140-litre fuel capacity remains a decisive advantage for long-distance cruising across the Emirates or into neighboring GCC countries.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages 14.5 L/100km, though this reflects the high-performance nature of the tuned V8 during GCC highway runs. Nissan maintains one of the most robust service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with parts availability being among the best in the segment. The NISMO trim traditionally holds its value exceptionally well, benefiting from a cult-like following in the Middle East that results in lower annual depreciation compared to European performance SUVs.

Performance & Capability

The hand-tuned 5.6L V8 delivers a sharp 428 hp, allowing this large SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. The NISMO-tuned suspension reduces body roll significantly, providing confidence during high-speed highway overtaking and winding road transitions. Despite its road-focused tuning, it retains the Patrol's legendary 4WD hardware, including a locking rear differential for weekend desert excursions.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a specialized environment featuring ventilated front seats and a dedicated rear climate zone with roof-mounted vents essential for GCC summers. It is one of the few performance-oriented SUVs that retains a genuine eight-seat layout, complete with a power-folding third row for convenience. Technological highlights include a 13-speaker Bose premium audio system and a factory-integrated cool box accessible from both the first and second rows.

Safety

The 2022 NISMO comes standard with Nissan Intelligent Mobility, featuring a 360-degree Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, which is invaluable for parking such a large vehicle. It includes a full suite of active safety tech like Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert to handle fast-moving GCC highway traffic. The vehicle is also equipped with front, side, and curtain airbags as standard.

The bottom line

This Nissan Patrol NISMO is the ideal acquisition for a family-oriented enthusiast who demands GCC-proven durability paired with exclusive motorsport styling and a hand-tuned V8.
