Summary

This 2022 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 represents the sweet spot for GCC driving enthusiasts, offering a track-bred experience that remains usable on the UAE’s high-quality roads. With mileage well below the typical 20,000 km per year average for this region, it has been preserved in prime mechanical condition. The silver exterior is a top-tier choice for the GCC market, ensuring both heat reflection during summer and excellent resale value retention later. As a mid-engine masterpiece with a legendary naturally aspirated engine, it offers a visceral engagement that few modern rivals can match. This GCC-spec example provides the peace of mind of local dealer support and climate-specific cooling systems essential for the Middle East.

This Car vs Other 2022 718 Caymans

With just over 11,500 km, this GT4 sits significantly below the average mileage for 2022 models in the UAE, effectively presenting as a near-new vehicle. The Silver exterior is one of the most practical and sought-after colors in the GCC used market, consistently holding a premium over more niche shades. Choosing a GCC-spec 2022 model ensures the car is optimized for local fuel grades and extreme summer temperatures, unlike American or European imports.

GT4 vs Lower Trims

The GT4 is a significant leap over the GTS 4.0, introducing a full GT-department suspension, a massive fixed rear wing, and a functional rear diffuser for high-speed stability on the E11 highway. It features larger side air intakes and upgraded cooling systems designed specifically to handle track-day heat loads that would tax lower trims. Inside, you get the motorsport-focused Alcantara steering wheel and specialized GT4 trim elements that define its collector-grade status.

718 Cayman vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Lotus Emira or the Alpine A110, the 718 Cayman GT4 leads with its 4.0L flat-six engine character and a superior GCC service network through Al Nabooda and Ali & Sons. Its 64-litre fuel tank provides a better range for long inter-emirate drives compared to many dedicated sports cars. Porsche’s PDK transmission remains the benchmark for fast-moving Dubai traffic, offering seamless shifts that rivals struggle to replicate.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages roughly 10.9 L/100km, though this increases in stop-start city traffic in Riyadh or Dubai. The GT4 enjoys exceptionally strong value retention in the GCC, often depreciating at a much slower rate than standard luxury coupes due to its status as one of the final naturally aspirated models. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km or annually, with an extensive network of authorized centers available across all major GCC cities including Muscat and Kuwait City.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this GT4 is the 4.0-liter flat-six, launching the car from 0–100 km/h in a verified 3.9 seconds when paired with the rapid PDK automatic. With 400 horsepower and a top speed of 302 km/h, it is perfectly suited for high-speed highway overtaking and weekend sessions at the Dubai Autodrome. The chassis features Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with a 30mm lower ride height compared to the standard Cayman, ensuring surgical precision through every corner.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cockpit is a driver-centric environment featuring high-grip materials and supportive sport seats tailored for long drives between cities. Porsche’s climate control system is famously robust, capable of maintaining cabin chill even when external temperatures exceed 45°C. Despite its track focus, the cabin is well-insulated from road noise, and the dual-trunk layout (frunk and rear) provides a combined 270 litres of space for weekend getaways.

Safety

Safety is managed by Porsche Stability Management (PSM), which is specifically tuned for the GT4 to allow for high limits while providing a safety net on sandy or dusty road surfaces. The car includes front and rear parking sensors to protect the specialized aero-bodywork in tight city parking. Standard safety features include advanced multi-stage airbags and high-performance brakes with excellent fade resistance, vital for heavy use in the GCC heat.

The bottom line

For the GCC collector or weekend driver, this low-mileage, silver GCC-spec GT4 offers the perfect combination of naturally aspirated purity and local market security.
