Summary

This 2024 Porsche 911 Carrera presents a compelling opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts, featuring a striking yellow exterior and exceptionally low mileage of just 989 km. As a modern 992.1 generation model, it balances iconic rear-engine dynamics with daily usability, making it a benchmark in the sports car segment. The yellow finish is a high-demand choice in the GCC for those seeking a standout aesthetic that historically holds value well due to its rarity compared to neutral tones. With its near-new condition, this Japanese-spec example offers a significant saving over agency-new models while providing the same visceral flat-six experience. For a buyer in the GCC, this is a chance to own a current-model icon that has barely cleared its break-in period.

This Car vs Other 2024 911s

With only 989 km on the odometer, this Carrera sits in the lowest mileage bracket for 2024 models in the GCC, where average annual use often reaches 20,000 km. While Japanese-spec imports typically command a different price point than GCC-spec units, the virtually unused condition of this vehicle makes it a standout for buyers prioritizing mechanical freshness. The bold yellow exterior further distinguishes it from the high volume of white and silver 911s typically found in the regional market.

CARRERA vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim of the 911 range, the Carrera provides the purest rear-wheel-drive experience, featuring the 8-speed PDK transmission and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) as standard. It includes essential premium features like the 10.9-inch Porsche Communication Management (PCM) touchscreen and LED headlights that are highly valued by UAE drivers. While higher trims add power, the base Carrera is often preferred for its better balance of ride comfort and performance on city roads.

911 vs Segment Rivals

The 911 Carrera consistently leads rivals like the Maserati MC20 and Jaguar F-TYPE in terms of everyday ergonomics and cabin visibility. Its 2+2 seating configuration provides a level of interior practicality for small bags or occasional passengers that most mid-engine competitors cannot match. Additionally, the 911’s reputation for mechanical reliability makes it the preferred choice for GCC owners who want a performance car capable of handling both the school run and high-speed highway commutes.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine delivers an efficient 10.3 L/100km on the combined cycle, which is excellent for a car with this level of performance in GCC stop-start traffic. As a Japanese-spec vehicle, owners should note that while mechanical parts are widely available across the UAE's extensive Porsche specialist network, official agency warranty coverage may differ from GCC-spec cars. Porsche 911s traditionally enjoy some of the highest value retention rates in the region, typically depreciating only 8-12% annually compared to steeper drops for other European sports brands.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 385 hp twin-turbo flat-six, this Carrera reaches 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds when using launch control. The rear-wheel-drive layout and wide track provide exceptional stability during high-speed cornering on well-maintained UAE highways. With a top speed of 293 km/h and a rapid-shifting 8-speed PDK gearbox, it offers a level of engagement that remains the industry standard for the modern sports car.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the 911 features a high-resolution digital cockpit that retains the classic center analog tachometer, offering a perfect blend of heritage and tech. The dual-zone automatic climate control is robust enough for the peak Gulf summer, ensuring the cabin stays cool even in high ambient temperatures. Partial leather sport seats and an intuitive infotainment system with wireless smartphone integration make long drives between Dubai and Abu Dhabi effortless.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes Porsche Wet Mode, which is uniquely useful for the occasional but heavy rainfall seen in the UAE, adjusting stability systems for maximum grip. The car also features forward collision mitigation, front and rear parking sensors with a camera, and a comprehensive airbag suite. The 911’s high-performance braking system provides consistent, fade-free stopping power, essential for safety on fast-moving multi-lane highways.

The bottom line

This nearly-new 2024 Carrera is the ideal choice for a buyer wanting 992-generation performance and a standout color without the waitlist or price tag of a brand-new local delivery.
