Summary

This 2022 Porsche Cayenne GTS is a stand-out find in the GCC market, offering the preferred twin-turbo V8 engine that was brought back specifically for this generation. With its black-on-black aesthetic, it holds one of the strongest resale profiles for luxury SUVs in the region. The mileage is slightly below the typical GCC average for a four-year-old vehicle, suggesting it has been used moderately rather than as a heavy-duty commuter. For the local buyer, this trim represents the sweet spot between the daily usability of the Cayenne S and the aggressive power of the Turbo. Its GCC specification is a critical advantage, ensuring the cooling systems and AC are optimized for the extreme summer heat of the Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

This Car vs Other 2022 Cayennes

With 64,987 km on the odometer, this Cayenne GTS has averaged roughly 16,250 km per year, which is comfortably below the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typically seen in the GCC. The exterior black finish is a top-tier resale color in the UAE, highly sought after for its executive presence and value retention. Buyers will find this example sits in a better mechanical lifecycle stage than higher-mileage alternatives often found on the local market.

GTS vs Lower Trims

The GTS trim is a significant leap over the Cayenne S, most notably replacing the V6 with a 4.0L twin-turbo V8. It comes standard with the Sport Design package, giving it a more aggressive stance, and the Sport Exhaust system for a deeper acoustic profile. For the GCC driver, the standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is tuned lower and firmer, providing superior stability during high-speed highway cruises between emirates.

Cayenne vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW X5 M50i or the Range Rover Sport, the Cayenne GTS leads with its car-like chassis dynamics and steering precision. It offers a more driver-focused cockpit and higher build quality in the switchgear, which holds up better against the intense UV exposure common in the region. The 90-litre fuel tank provides a generous range, making it a more practical choice for long-distance cross-border drives than several rivals with smaller capacities.

Running Costs & Resale

Porsche models in the GCC typically see an annual depreciation of 12-15%, with the GTS trim retaining value better than base models due to its enthusiast appeal. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or 12 months, and Porsche's authorized service network is exceptionally strong across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Fuel consumption reflects its performance nature, averaging around 12-14 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions, and it requires Super 98 grade petrol to maintain engine health.

Performance & Capability

The 453 hp V8 engine delivers a relentless 620 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless highway overtaking even at high ambient temperatures. The standard all-wheel-drive system and sophisticated traction management make it surprisingly capable for light gravel and sand-track excursions during weekend escapes. It combines a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity with a top speed of 270 km/h, proving itself as one of the most versatile performance SUVs available.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is centered around GTS-exclusive Alcantara and leather upholstery, designed to remain comfortable even in peak summer. Powerful multi-zone climate control and dedicated rear vents ensure the cabin cools down rapidly after being parked in the sun. With a 770-litre boot, there is ample space for family road trips or golf sets, and the cabin insulation is specifically engineered to minimize wind noise during fast highway travel.

Safety

The Cayenne GTS is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Porsche Stability Management and advanced braking systems that are vital for high-speed GCC traffic. Standard front and rear parking sensors with a rearview camera assist in tight urban parking, while the robust airbag system provides 360-degree protection. Its adaptive suspension also plays a safety role, keeping the vehicle flat and composed during emergency maneuvers on sandy or uneven surfaces.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a GCC buyer seeking a late-model V8 Porsche that balances reasonable mileage with a highly desirable color and spec. It offers the performance of a supercar with the daily practicality required for the UAE's unique driving environment.
