Summary

This 2022 Porsche Taycan is a standout opportunity for GCC buyers looking to enter the high-performance EV market with nearly zero wear. With only 6,039 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered less than a tenth of the typical mileage expected for a four-year-old car in the region. The unique Green exterior is a sophisticated choice that maintains strong appeal in the UAE's premium used market, especially for those moving away from traditional shades. As the entry point to the Taycan range, this rear-wheel-drive model is lighter and more efficient than its dual-motor siblings, offering a purer driving experience. Its 800-volt architecture remains a segment-leading feature, ensuring it remains relevant and future-proof as the GCC's fast-charging infrastructure continues to expand.

This Car vs Other 2022 Taycans

While the average GCC vehicle of this age would typically have covered between 80,000 and 100,000 km, this Taycan sits at an exceptionally low 6,039 km. This ultra-low usage translates to a battery and interior that are effectively in 'as-new' condition, a significant advantage for long-term value retention. The striking Green finish is a premium alternative to the common white or silver, often commanding faster interest from enthusiast buyers in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi markets.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim, this model provides the core Porsche EV experience with the advantage of a rear-wheel-drive layout, which enthusiasts often prefer for its balanced steering. It features the essential 16.8-inch curved digital instrument cluster and the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system as standard. This specific listing is a GCC-spec vehicle, ensuring the air conditioning and battery thermal management systems are factory-optimized for the extreme summer heat found across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Taycan vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Tesla Model S or Audi e-tron GT, the Taycan leads with its 800-volt charging technology, allowing for significantly faster top-ups at compatible DC stations. Its low-slung driving position and chassis tuning deliver a level of engagement and high-speed stability that is closer to a 911 than a traditional executive sedan. For the GCC driver, the Taycan’s ability to maintain performance consistency in high temperatures gives it a distinct engineering edge over many non-European electric competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Electric running costs in the UAE are significantly lower than petrol equivalents, especially when utilizing home charging or the expanding Green Charger network. Service intervals are generous, typically required every 2 years or 30,000 km, focusing on cabin filters, brake fluid, and cooling system checks rather than complex engine maintenance. While luxury EVs generally follow a steeper depreciation curve than Japanese petrol sedans, the exceptionally low mileage on this specific car makes it a much stronger asset for future resale. Authorized Porsche service centers are widely available across major GCC cities, providing excellent support for warranty and software updates.

Performance & Capability

The Taycan delivers 408 hp in overboost mode, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h. This immediate electric torque is ideal for navigating fast-moving highway traffic in the GCC, providing effortless overtaking power at any speed. The rear-wheel-drive configuration makes it the most agile variant in the lineup, offering a sharp, responsive feel through the corners that belies its four-door practicality.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a digital-first environment, featuring a minimalist aesthetic with high-quality materials that effectively insulate passengers from the outside heat and road noise. It comfortably seats five, making it a viable family commuter for school runs in the city or weekend trips between Emirates. Standard dual-zone climate control is engineered to handle 45°C+ ambient temperatures, ensuring the interior cools rapidly even after being parked in the sun.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, including Porsche’s advanced stability management and a suite of driver-assist technologies. Standard features include Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning with autonomous braking, and front and rear parking sensors with a reversing camera. These systems are particularly beneficial on high-speed desert highways, providing an extra layer of protection during long-distance commutes.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a GCC professional or enthusiast seeking a virtually new Porsche EV experience without the first-year depreciation. Its combination of ultra-low mileage and GCC-ready specifications makes it one of the most compelling electric sedans currently available in the region.
