Summary

This 2022 Land Cruiser GXR is a standout opportunity, featuring the reliable 4.0L V6 and exceptionally low mileage for its age in the GCC market. Its grey exterior is a highly sought-after shade locally, ensuring strong resale demand and practical heat management. As a 300-series model, it represents the latest in Toyota’s engineering, offering a refined driving experience that rivals even luxury-focused SUVs. For any buyer in the region, the combination of Toyota's bulletproof durability and this car's near-new condition makes it a secure long-term investment.

This Car vs Other 2022 Land Cruisers

With just 31,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 50,000–60,000 km expected for a two-year-old car in the GCC. The grey finish is a top-tier choice for the local market, balancing a modern aesthetic with excellent resistance to visible dust and high sun reflectivity. This combination of low use and a high-demand color profile places it in the top bracket of available pre-owned units.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim provides a major leap in everyday usability over the base EXR, most notably adding a factory-fitted cool box and upgraded 20-inch alloy wheels. It also features a superior 9-inch infotainment system with integrated navigation and a wireless charger, essentials for modern GCC commutes. Unlike the entry-level models, the GXR includes more advanced off-road hardware like Crawl Control and Turn Assist as standard.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

While the Nissan Patrol and Land Rover Defender offer strong competition, the Land Cruiser leads the segment in long-term reliability and specialized GCC parts availability. Its massive 110-litre fuel capacity is specifically designed for the vast distances between cities like Dubai and Riyadh. Furthermore, the Land Cruiser's air conditioning system is widely considered the most effective in the industry for rapid cabin cooling in 45°C+ summer heat.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 is celebrated for its mechanical simplicity and ability to run efficiently on 95-octane petrol, a major advantage in regional running costs. Authorized service centers like Al-Futtaim in the UAE and ALJ in Saudi Arabia are available in almost every major city, ensuring maintenance is never a logistical hurdle. Historically, the Land Cruiser GXR maintains roughly 80–85% of its value over the first three years, the highest residual value in the large SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 271 hp V6 engine, this SUV is built for relentless reliability rather than just raw speed, making it the preferred choice for cross-border desert expeditions. It boasts a 312 mm maximum ground clearance and a 32-degree approach angle, allowing it to navigate the softest dunes of the Empty Quarter with ease. On the highway, the 300-series chassis provides a noticeably quieter and more stable ride at speed compared to previous generations.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is versatile enough for large families, featuring a dual-zone climate control system with dedicated rear cooling vents that are essential for regional comfort. The GXR cabin is well-insulated from exterior wind and road noise, providing a serene environment for long inter-emirate drives. Tech highlights include seamless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, alongside a 7-inch digital information display for the driver.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with a full suite of active and passive systems, including front and rear parking sensors and a high-definition rear-view camera. Standard stability control and traction control systems are specifically tuned for sand and gravel surfaces, providing confidence during weekend desert excursions. The vehicle is also equipped with a robust airbag system and ISOFIX points, making it a leading choice for safety-conscious families in the GCC.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who prioritizes legendary reliability and high resale value above all else, this low-mileage 2022 GXR is the safest purchase in the market today.
