Summary

This 2023 Land Cruiser GXR combines legendary off-road capability with the trusted durability of Toyota's 4.0L V6 naturally aspirated engine. As a GCC-spec model in white, it represents the most liquid configuration in the regional used market, ensuring exceptional resale strength. While newer twin-turbo models exist, the 4.0L variant remains the top choice for owners prioritizing long-term mechanical simplicity and ease of maintenance. With its robust all-wheel-drive system and seven-seat capacity, it is perfectly suited for both daily family duties and weekend desert adventures. For a buyer in the GCC, this listing offers the ideal balance of the modern 300-series platform and proven, heat-tolerant engineering.

This Car vs Other 2023 Land Cruisers

At 84,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is slightly above the typical GCC annual average but reflects the highway-heavy use common in the region. Finished in white, it occupies the most desirable color category for heat reflection and high resale demand in the local market. Choosing the 2023 model year provides the modern 300-series chassis and technology while avoiding the steeper initial depreciation of a brand-new showroom unit.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim is the preferred mid-range choice in the GCC, offering significant tech upgrades over the entry-level EXR. It adds essential convenience features such as a powered driver seat, enhanced multi-terrain systems, and a more sophisticated infotainment interface that includes integrated smartphone connectivity. These additions specifically cater to the comfort levels expected by families during long cross-emirate drives.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Against rivals like the Nissan Patrol and Ford Expedition, the Land Cruiser leads with its unparalleled reputation for mechanical longevity and higher residual values. While competitors may focus on soft-road comfort, the Toyota's body-on-frame construction and advanced Crawl Control provide superior performance in deep sand. Its cooling system is also specifically optimized for the extreme 45°C+ summer peaks unique to this region.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 offers a balanced combined fuel consumption of approximately 10.6 L/100km, which is competitive for a full-sized SUV in GCC stop-start traffic. Toyota's authorized service network, led by providers like Al-Futtaim in the UAE and ALJ in Saudi Arabia, is the most extensive in the region, ensuring parts are always available. The 300-series Land Cruiser maintains one of the lowest annual depreciation rates in the Middle East, typically retaining around 85-90% of its value after the first three years.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 271 hp V6 and a permanent all-wheel-drive system, this Land Cruiser delivers steady power and 385 Nm of torque for confident highway overtaking. The 235 mm ground clearance and sophisticated 4WD hardware allow it to navigate rugged terrain that would stop most crossovers. Whether you are tackling a weekend in the Liwa desert or a long-distance road trip to Salalah, the 300-series chassis offers improved handling and stability over its predecessors.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is designed for the GCC climate, featuring a high-output air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers stay cool. Practicality is enhanced by the third-row seats, which now fold flat into the floor, a major improvement in the 300-series that maximizes boot space for family gear. The interior is well-insulated from exterior road noise and desert heat, providing a refined environment for long-distance cruising.

Safety

Standard safety features on this GXR include a comprehensive airbag system, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), and Hill-start Assist. The 300-series platform was designed with high-tensile steel to provide a 5-star safety environment for all occupants. Advanced braking systems and multi-terrain ABS ensure the vehicle remains controlled on both high-speed asphalt and loose gravel surfaces common across the Emirates.

The bottom line

This Land Cruiser GXR is the ultimate 'buy-and-hold' vehicle for a GCC resident, offering a modern 300-series experience with the most reliable engine configuration available in the market.
