Summary

This Yaris is a practical choice for urban professionals or small families seeking unmatched reliability in the local market. With the white exterior offering the strongest resale protection in the UAE, this specific car stands out as a smart long-term investment. Its 1.5-litre engine is perfectly tuned for a balance of city agility and enough highway composure for cross-emirate trips. Compared to its rivals, the Yaris remains the benchmark for low running costs and mechanical longevity in extreme temperatures. For a GCC buyer, the peace of mind provided by the widespread parts availability makes this sedan a worry-free daily driver.

This Car vs Other 2022 Yariss

With 74,094 km on the odometer, this car sits slightly below the typical GCC average for a 4-year-old vehicle, which often sees 20,000 to 25,000 km annually. The white paint is a significant advantage in the local used market, as it is the most sought-after color for heat reflection and future resale value. This mileage-to-age ratio suggests a car that has been used consistently without being overworked, making it a prime candidate for a reliable second owner.

SE vs Lower Trims

The SE trim provides a more polished experience than the base models, adding essential convenience features that GCC drivers value. You get integrated steering wheel audio controls and a more sophisticated infotainment setup with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Exterior upgrades like the front fog lights and alloy wheels give the SE a more premium road presence compared to the entry-level steel-wheeled versions.

Yaris vs Segment Rivals

The Yaris leads rivals like the Honda City and Nissan Sunny in terms of long-term parts availability and the sheer density of the service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While some competitors offer slightly more rear legroom, the Yaris wins on real-world fuel efficiency and the durability of its CVT transmission in stop-start traffic. It remains the safest bet for buyers prioritizing mechanical simplicity and high residual value.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are exceptionally low, with a combined fuel consumption of roughly 5.1 L/100km, allowing for significant savings during long-distance highway commutes. Being a GCC-spec Toyota, it benefits from service intervals every 10,000 km, which are easily handled by any of the numerous authorized centers across the region. Historically, the Yaris enjoys one of the lowest depreciation rates in its segment, typically retaining more value at the 3-year mark than its American or European-spec counterparts.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine produces a reliable 105 hp, which is ample for navigating the fast-moving multi-lane highways of Dubai and Riyadh. The CVT automatic is tuned for smooth power delivery, ensuring a comfortable ride even when the car is fully loaded with passengers. Its tight 9.8-meter turning circle makes it incredibly easy to park in crowded urban areas like Sharjah or Abu Dhabi's city center.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for 5 passengers with high-quality fabric seating that stays cooler than leather during the intense summer months. Toyota's air conditioning system is legendary for its cooling capacity, effectively neutralizing 45°C+ temperatures in minutes. The 382-litre boot provides enough space for weekly grocery runs or airport luggage, while the touchscreen interface keeps you connected on long desert drives.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC). These systems are vital for maintaining traction on sandy road surfaces and during the high-speed maneuvers common on GCC highways. The inclusion of a tire pressure monitoring system and rear parking sensors adds an extra layer of confidence for daily urban driving.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants zero mechanical drama and the best possible resale protection in the UAE, this white GCC-spec Yaris is the definitive choice.
