Summary

This 2022 Honda CR-V EX offers a compelling balance of modern tech and proven mechanical reliability for the UAE market. As a 4-year-old vehicle with 74,120 km, it sits comfortably within the expected average usage for a high-quality SUV in this region. The Red exterior provides a vibrant alternative to the standard palette while remaining a respected choice in the secondary market. The EX trim adds key comfort and safety tech that makes daily commuting on multi-lane highways significantly more relaxed. For any GCC buyer, the peace of mind provided by Honda's massive local service infrastructure is the single most valuable long-term advantage of this listing.

This Car vs Other 2022 CR-Vs

At 4 years old, this CR-V's mileage of 74,120 km is slightly below the typical GCC average of 80,000 to 100,000 km for a vehicle of this age. This lower-than-average usage suggests less wear on the suspension and interior, making it a highly competitive option. The Red paint is a standout choice that retains its appeal well in the local pre-owned market.

EX vs Lower Trims

The EX trim is a significant step up from the base DX and LX models, adding essential GCC features like a power moonroof and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also introduces the Blind Spot Information System, which is invaluable for navigating fast-moving highway traffic. Additional upgrades include dual-zone automatic climate control and remote engine start, allowing you to cool the cabin before entering during summer months.

CR-V vs Segment Rivals

The CR-V leads rivals like the Toyota RAV4 and Nissan X-Trail in terms of clever interior packaging and usable boot space, offering one of the most practical cargo areas in its class. Its 2.4L engine is specifically tuned for reliable performance in extreme heat, often outlasting more complex turbocharged competitors. Furthermore, its smooth CVT is optimized for fuel efficiency during the stop-start city traffic common in Dubai and Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

With a manufacturer-rated combined fuel economy of 7.2 L/100km, the CR-V is one of the most efficient non-hybrid SUVs in its segment. Maintenance is straightforward with 10,000 km service intervals and a vast network of authorized centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait ensuring parts are always available. Historically, the CR-V retains approximately 62% of its value after five years in the GCC, significantly outperforming many European and American rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 2.4L i-VTEC engine delivers a refined 184 hp, providing smooth and linear power delivery that is ideal for highway overtaking. Equipped with an Intelligent Control All-Wheel Drive system, this CR-V handles gravel tracks and rain-slicked roads with high stability. While designed primarily for the road, its 208 mm ground clearance is perfect for managing speed bumps and light weekend excursions to the outskirts of the city.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five passengers with a focus on cooling efficiency, featuring dedicated rear-seat climate vents to ensure passenger comfort during peak summer. The EX trim includes a 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat and premium fabric upholstery that stays cooler than leather in the desert heat. Active noise cancellation technology helps keep the interior quiet, even at high cruising speeds on the E11 or E311 highways.

Safety

Standard safety on the EX trim includes the Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor, providing critical alerts during lane changes on busy multi-lane roads. It is equipped with multiple airbags, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and a multi-angle rearview camera to make parking in tight urban spaces effortless. The vehicle's stability control system is specifically calibrated to handle the varied surfaces of the GCC region, from sandy tarmac to wet pavement.

The bottom line

This CR-V is the ideal choice for a small family or professional seeking a reliable, tech-forward SUV that will hold its value better than almost anything else in its class.
