Summary

This 2023 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio represents the pinnacle of Italian performance SUVs, combining a Ferrari-derived engine with the practicality of an all-wheel-drive crossover. At three years old with just over 50,000 km, its mileage sits perfectly within the expected range for a high-performance daily driver in the GCC. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local market, ensuring stronger resale interest compared to more niche colors. Unlike standard crossovers, the Quadrifoglio is a specialized machine that offers genuine supercar performance without sacrificing the ground clearance needed for varied UAE road conditions. For the GCC buyer, this is a rare opportunity to own a world-class performance icon that has already navigated its steepest depreciation curve.

This Car vs Other 2023 Stelvios

With 50,036 km on the odometer, this Stelvio has averaged approximately 16,500 km per year, which is significantly lower than the typical GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. This lower-than-average usage makes it a standout option for buyers seeking a well-maintained example that hasn't endured excessive long-distance commuting. The black exterior is one of the most resilient colors for resale in the UAE and Saudi Arabian markets, consistently holding higher value than non-traditional shades.

QUADRIFOGLIO vs Lower Trims

The Quadrifoglio is a complete mechanical departure from the Veloce or Ti trims, replacing the standard 2.0L four-cylinder with a 510 hp 2.9L V6. Beyond the engine, it adds essential GCC-spec upgrades including an active suspension system, a carbon fiber driveshaft for reduced weight, and the exclusive 'Race' mode in the DNA selector. Visual and functional upgrades like the 21-inch forged wheels and aggressive quad-exhaust system provide the presence local buyers expect from a top-tier performance vehicle.

Stelvio vs Segment Rivals

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio consistently leads rivals like the BMW X3 M and Porsche Macan Turbo in raw engagement and power-to-weight ratio. Its 50/50 weight distribution provides superior handling on winding mountain roads like Jebel Jais compared to heavier German competitors. While rivals focus on digital complexity, the Alfa Romeo leads with a driver-centric cockpit and a more emotive exhaust note that stands out in the crowded premium SUV segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.9L V6 requires 98-octane premium fuel to maintain its performance, with real-world consumption averaging around 11.8L/100km in mixed GCC driving. Service is supported by authorized centers like Gargash in the UAE and specialized networks across the GCC, with intervals typically set at 15,000 km. While European performance SUVs experience higher initial depreciation, the Quadrifoglio's status as a low-volume enthusiast model helps it retain value better than standard luxury crossovers after the three-year mark.

Performance & Capability

With a 0–100 km/h time of just 3.8 seconds, this SUV offers acceleration that rival many dedicated sports cars. The Q4 All-Wheel Drive system is rear-biased for a traditional performance feel but can transfer up to 50% of torque to the front wheels instantly for maximum grip on sand-swept highways. Its top speed of 283 km/h makes it one of the fastest SUVs ever produced, providing effortless overtaking power for high-speed inter-emirate travel.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features five seats finished in premium leather and Alcantara with carbon fiber trim throughout, maintaining a cool temperature even in peak summer thanks to a high-capacity GCC-spec air conditioning system. Standard technology includes an 8.8-inch touchscreen with 3D Navigation and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. Acoustic glass and high-grade insulation ensure the cabin remains a refined environment during long highway drives across the desert.

Safety

This trim comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control with full stop, Blind Spot Monitoring for safe highway lane changes, and Lane Departure Warning. The Q4 all-wheel-drive system acts as a primary safety feature in the GCC, providing enhanced stability during occasional heavy rain or on gravel-strewn surfaces. Front and rear parking sensors paired with a high-definition backup camera make navigating tight city parking effortless.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who needs SUV versatility but refuses to give up supercar soul, this low-mileage, GCC-spec Quadrifoglio is the most visceral choice in its class.
