Summary

The 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio represents the absolute performance peak for Italian SUVs, delivering supercar-rivaling speed in a practical family package. For the GCC buyer, this specific red model is a standout opportunity as it is the final model year for the current petrol-powered V6 version, ensuring strong enthusiast demand for years to come. With its Ferrari-derived engine and near-perfect weight distribution, it offers a level of steering precision and chassis feel that typically eludes its German rivals. This vehicle has been driven roughly 26,000 km per year, which aligns perfectly with typical high-mileage GCC highway use where these cars are often utilized for inter-emirate commutes. This is the ultimate choice for the driver who needs five seats and a boot but refuses to leave the racetrack behind.

This Car vs Other 2024 Stelvios

With 53,322 km on the clock, this Stelvio has been enjoyed as a true daily driver, which in the GCC often means well-maintained highway miles that are easier on the cooling and suspension than city stop-start traffic. The Alfa Red exterior is the model's most iconic and sought-after color in the UAE, providing a distinct advantage for future resale value compared to neutral tones. Being a 2-year-old vehicle, it remains in its prime mechanical window for the local climate.

QUADRIFOGLIO vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the Quadrifoglio transforms the Stelvio from a luxury crossover into a performance titan, headlined by the 510 hp 2.9L twin-turbo V6. This trim adds essential high-speed hardware like the Alfa DNA Pro drive mode with Race setting, an active suspension system, and an upgraded braking package. Inside, you receive a cabin draped in carbon fiber and Alcantara, alongside a premium Harman Kardon audio system and the new-for-2024 digital 12.3-inch 'Cannocchiale' instrument cluster.

Stelvio vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Porsche Macan GTS or the BMW X3 M Competition, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio leads with a more emotional engine character and a significantly faster steering rack. It offers a more engaging 'drivers car' feel than the clinical approach of its German peers, while still maintaining a competitive 525-litre boot for daily errands. Its Q4 all-wheel-drive system is uniquely rear-biased, providing the agility of a sports car with the security required for high-speed highway cruising in the GCC.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the Quadrifoglio in GCC highway conditions typically averages around 10.2L/100km, though this increases in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Authorized service centers are well-established across the UAE and major Saudi cities, with recommended service intervals occurring every 15,000 km or 12 months. As a final-year internal combustion performance model, this trim is expected to hold its value better than standard luxury SUVs as collectors begin to target the last of the petrol-only Alfas.

Performance & Capability

The headline figure is the 3.8-second sprint to 100 km/h, enabled by a torque-rich 600 Nm output that makes highway overtaking effortless. A carbon fiber driveshaft and 50/50 weight distribution ensure that the Stelvio remains incredibly stable even at its 283 km/h top speed. While it sits higher than a sedan, its performance-tuned AWD system and mechanical limited-slip differential are designed for maximum grip on paved surfaces rather than deep sand.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a driver-focused environment featuring supportive sports seats that remain comfortable during long drives between Emirates. The powerful Italian climate control system is built to handle the extreme heat of the GCC summer, complemented by rear cooling vents to keep all five passengers comfortable. Standard tech includes a crisp 8.8-inch multi-touch display and the immersive 12.3-inch digital cockpit that can be customized to show classic Alfa Romeo gauge designs.

Safety

The 2024 Stelvio Quadrifoglio comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, which is indispensable for long-distance desert highway travel. Blind Spot Monitoring and Forward Collision Warning with Autonomous Emergency Braking provide extra peace of mind in fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The vehicle also features a robust set of airbags and stability control systems specifically tuned to keep the high-output V6 safely under control in all weather conditions.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own the definitive version of the Stelvio before the model transitions away from its legendary V6. It is perfectly suited for a GCC enthusiast who wants the most emotional and fastest SUV in the segment with the added security of a GCC-spec history.
