Summary

This 2023 Audi SQ5 in White offers a compelling combination of daily SUV practicality and genuine sports car performance. With a 3.0-litre V6 delivering 349 hp, it comfortably leads standard crossovers in highway overtaking and overall driving dynamics. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the GCC, ensuring it holds its value better than more niche finishes. For a vehicle at the three-year mark, it presents an ideal entry point into Audi's performance line before steeper depreciation curves kick in. It remains a top choice for GCC drivers who prioritize high-speed stability on inter-emirate highways without sacrificing family space.

This Car vs Other 2023 SQ5s

With 65,850 km on the odometer, this SQ5 sits right at the expected average for a three-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where annual commutes often reach 25,000 km. The white exterior is the strongest resale color in the local market, making this specific listing a safer long-term investment compared to darker shades. It has been driven primarily during the initial high-value period of its life cycle, suggesting a well-maintained service history.

TFSI PROGRESS S vs Lower Trims

The Progressiv trim (marketed as Progress S in some regions) adds significant equipment that GCC buyers value, including 360-degree cameras and upgraded leather sport seats. Unlike the base Q5 models, this trim features the S-specific adaptive suspension and larger brakes required for higher-speed desert highway driving. It also includes the premium digital cockpit and advanced navigation as standard, which are often optional on lower specifications.

SQ5 vs Segment Rivals

The SQ5 competes directly with the BMW X3 M40i and Mercedes-AMG GLC 43, standing out for its balanced ride quality and superior cabin insulation from GCC road noise. While rivals focus on extreme stiffness, the Audi offers a more compliant daily drive that is better suited for long trips from Dubai to Muscat or Riyadh. Its Quattro all-wheel-drive system is widely regarded as one of the most reliable for maintaining grip on sand-blown tarmac.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 8.3 L/100km, which is efficient for a 349 hp V6 during highway cruising between emirates. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km or 12 months, with a robust network of authorized Audi centers available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. While European performance SUVs depreciate faster than Japanese alternatives, the SQ5 maintains a loyal following in the GCC used market, typically retaining about 65% of its value after three years.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 produces a verified 349 hp and 500 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 4.9 seconds. This performance is managed by an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and Quattro permanent all-wheel drive, providing exceptional stability during high-speed lane changes. With a top speed of 250 km/h, it is perfectly engineered for the fast-moving pace of major GCC motorways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features five seats with high-grade leather and S-embossed sport bolsters that provide excellent support during spirited driving. GCC-essential features include a powerful tri-zone climate control system and a 10.1-inch MMI touch display that remains legible even in bright direct sunlight. The 510-litre boot provides ample space for family road trips, expanding significantly with the rear seats folded flat.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring Audi Pre-Sense, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control, which are vital for the multi-lane highway environments of the UAE and KSA. The vehicle's 5-star safety rating is supported by a full suite of airbags and advanced electronic stability programs designed to handle sudden maneuvers on diverse road surfaces. Standard 360-degree cameras make parking this SUV in tight urban spaces effortless.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for a buyer seeking the perfect middle ground between a family SUV and a high-performance machine, finished in the region's best resale color.
