Summary

This 2023 Bentley Bentayga S represents a powerful opportunity to own a driver-focused luxury SUV with significantly enhanced output. While the factory S trim is already a sportier alternative to the standard V8, this specific European-spec unit delivers an exceptional 700 hp, placing it well above typical regional listings in terms of performance. The black-on-black aesthetic is a high-demand combination in the GCC, ensuring strong resale appeal and a commanding road presence. With 34,000 km, the mileage is remarkably low for a high-performance GT of this age, suggesting it has been used sparingly for highway travel rather than heavy city commuting. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, this car offers the perfect blend of bespoke British craftsmanship and a level of acceleration usually reserved for supercars.

This Car vs Other 2023 Bentaygas

Compared to typical 2023 Bentayga listings in the GCC, which often see annual mileages exceeding 20,000 km, this vehicle's 34,000 km total is well below average. This low usage, combined with the timeless and highly sought-after black exterior, makes it a premium choice for buyers prioritizing future resale value. While being a European spec, its performance-first configuration offers a unique edge over standard regional stock.

S vs Lower Trims

The S trim is a significant step up from the base V8, specifically designed for those who prefer the driver's seat. It adds the Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system as standard, which uses electric motors to counteract body roll in fast corners—a feature vital for maintaining composure on high-speed UAE interchanges. Additionally, you get a more aggressive S-line exterior with blacked-out accents and a sport-tuned exhaust system that provides a much deeper, more resonant V8 soundtrack.

Bentayga vs Segment Rivals

The Bentayga S competes directly with the Lamborghini Urus and the Aston Martin DBX. While rivals often lean toward raw aggression, the Bentley leads in cabin refinement and the sheer effortless nature of its 700 hp delivery, making it a superior long-distance tourer for cross-border trips between Dubai and Riyadh. It also offers a more generous boot capacity than many of its performance-focused peers, making it a practical family SUV.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this high-output V8 typically ranges between 13 and 15 L/100km, depending on how much of the 700 hp is utilized during highway overtakes. Bentley has a robust authorized service network across major GCC cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, ensuring that maintenance remains convenient even for European-spec vehicles. While European luxury SUVs generally see higher initial depreciation, the rare 700 hp specification and 'S' branding help this model hold its value better than entry-level variants.

Performance & Capability

This Bentayga S delivers a supercar-rivaling 700 hp, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds despite its luxury proportions. The All-Wheel Drive system and Torque Vectoring by Brake ensure maximum traction during sudden maneuvers on sand-dusted asphalt. With a top speed of 290 km/h and an 'Enhanced Sports Mode' unique to the S trim, it is engineered for high-speed stability and driver engagement.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior features the S-specific Dinamica and leather combination, designed to keep occupants planted during spirited drives. For the GCC climate, the four-zone automatic climate control and powerful cooling system ensure the cabin remains a sanctuary even in 45°C heat. The 10.9-inch digital cockpit provides crystal-clear navigation and media control, while the acoustic glass keeps the V8's roar out of the cabin during relaxed highway cruising.

Safety

Standard safety tech on the S trim includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Blind Spot Warning and Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control, which is particularly effective for managing the long, straight highway stretches common in the region. It also features 360-degree cameras and advanced parking sensors to make navigating tight city parking garages effortless. Bentley’s robust chassis and multiple airbag systems provide world-class passive protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who finds the standard Bentayga too conservative, this 700 hp 'S' offers a rare level of performance and presence. It is a sharp, low-mileage opportunity for a buyer who wants the prestige of a Bentley with the soul of a supercar.
