Summary

This 2023 Bentley Continental GTC 1st Edition represents the absolute pinnacle of grand touring, offering a rare combination of open-top freedom and unmatched interior craftsmanship. With delivery mileage of just 106 km, it is essentially a brand-new vehicle waiting for its first real journey across the UAE's immaculate highways. The 1st Edition trim is highly coveted in the GCC market as it bundles the most desirable luxury options into a single, exclusive package that holds its value significantly better than standard models. Finished in a striking Red, this car stands out with a confident presence that is both sporty and prestigious, a combination that historically performs well for resale in the luxury segments of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Choosing a GCC-spec Bentley ensures full regional warranty support and a cooling system designed specifically to handle the intense summer heat of the Middle East. For the buyer who demands a vehicle that transitions perfectly from a high-powered commute on Sheikh Zayed Road to a weekend trip to the Northern Emirates, this GTC is the most compelling example currently available in the region.

This Car vs Other 2023 Continentals

When compared to other 2023 models currently on the market, this specific GTC is a standout due to its exceptionally low mileage. While a typical grand tourer in the GCC might see 15,000 km to 20,000 km in its first year, this vehicle has covered only 106 km, meaning it remains in pristine, showroom condition with its mechanical components barely broken in. The 1st Edition designation further separates it from the standard inventory, as these limited-production units were built to celebrate the launch of the latest generation with unique badging and upgraded interior finishes. The exterior Red paint is a sophisticated choice that offers a more vibrant alternative to the common silver or white palettes, without sacrificing the classic elegance expected of the brand. This car represents a unique opportunity to skip the waiting list for a bespoke build while securing a vehicle that is effectively identical to a factory-fresh unit. For a collector or a serious enthusiast, the combination of the 1st Edition status and the delivery mileage makes this one of the most desirable Continentals in the country.

GTC 1st Edition vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the 1st Edition trim provides a comprehensive suite of features that are usually costly individual options on the base GTC. This trim includes the prestigious Mulliner Driving Specification, which introduces diamond-in-diamond quilting on the seats and door panels, along with sports pedals and a jeweled fuel filler cap that elevate the tactile experience. One of the most significant additions for the GCC driver is the Touring Specification, which equips the car with essential driver assistance systems like night vision and a head-up display for safer long-distance night drives between cities. The interior is further enhanced by the Rotating Display, a marvel of engineering that allows the driver to switch between a high-resolution touchscreen, three classic analog dials, or a clean veneer panel. This trim also features unique 1st Edition badging on the exterior and interior, signaling to onlookers and passengers alike that this is no ordinary grand tourer. These high-end touches are exactly what GCC buyers look for during resale, ensuring that the car remains a high-demand item in the pre-owned market.

Continental vs Segment Rivals

The Bentley Continental GTC competes in an elite segment against rivals like the Aston Martin DB11 Volante and the Ferrari Roma Spider, yet it leads the way in terms of daily usability and all-weather capability. Unlike some of its more focused sports car competitors, the Bentley offers a sophisticated All Wheel Drive system that provides immense confidence and stability during the occasional rain showers or on sandy coastal roads. The cabin insulation is also widely regarded as the best in its class; even with the fabric roof, the interior remains as quiet as a fixed-roof coupe, which is a vital advantage when trying to maintain a cool cabin temperature during the 45°C summer months. The boot space is surprisingly practical for a convertible, allowing for two sets of golf clubs or weekend luggage for a trip to Al Ain, whereas its Italian rivals often struggle with storage. Furthermore, the presence of an authorized service network across every major GCC city ensures that ownership is far more convenient than with more niche boutique brands. This balance of high-performance engineering and effortless luxury makes it the most well-rounded choice for the regional lifestyle.

Running Costs & Resale

Owning a GCC-spec Bentley in the UAE or wider region is a streamlined experience thanks to the established presence of Al Habtoor Motors and other major distributors who provide world-class service facilities. This car requires high-grade petrol, which is readily available at all local stations, and it features an engine map optimized for the local fuel quality and climate conditions. Real-world fuel consumption is surprisingly efficient during steady-state highway cruising between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, though the 8-cylinder engine will naturally consume more in the stop-start traffic of downtown Riyadh or Dubai Marina. The service intervals are typically every 16,000 km or once a year, and because this is a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains the balance of its factory warranty and service package, which are major value-adds for the next owner. In the GCC market, the 1st Edition trim acts as a safeguard against steep depreciation, as these models are highly sought after by enthusiasts who value the extra equipment and exclusivity. While European luxury cars generally see a 12-18% annual depreciation, the GTC 1st Edition tends to sit at the more favorable end of that spectrum due to its limited nature.

Performance & Capability

Under the hood lies a magnificent 4.0L V8 engine that produces a staggering 626 hp, propelling this convertible from 0–100 km/h in well under 4 seconds. This performance is delivered with a refined surge of power that makes overtaking on the E11 highway effortless, even at higher speeds where the car remains remarkably planted. The All Wheel Drive system works intelligently with the active air suspension to provide a ride that can be adjusted from pillowy soft for city cruising to firm and responsive for more spirited drives through the Jebel Jais mountain passes. Drivers can choose between various drive modes, including 'Bentley' mode, which is a factory-tuned balance of comfort and performance specifically designed for the car's unique geometry. The engine's exhaust note is deep and purposeful, yet it remains unobtrusive when the roof is up, allowing for easy conversation at any speed. With a top speed that exceeds 300 km/h, this car is more than just a luxury statement; it is a serious performance machine that respects the brand's racing heritage while delivering modern reliability.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the GTC 1st Edition is a masterclass in artisanal craft, featuring four generous seats that accommodate adults in total comfort for long-distance travel. The seats are equipped with heating, cooling, and massage functions, making them perfectly suited for the GCC's varied climate—staying warm during desert winter nights and cool during the peak of summer. The air conditioning system is exceptionally powerful, with multiple zones and dedicated vents designed to maintain the set temperature even when the top is down. The cabin is wrapped in the finest hides and hand-polished veneers, creating a sensory experience that feels vastly more expensive than mass-produced luxury cars. For the audiophile, the Naim for Bentley audio system provides a concert-hall experience, utilizing advanced digital signal processing to deliver crystal-clear sound regardless of wind noise. Every touchpoint, from the knurled metal switchgear to the deep-pile carpets, reinforces the feeling that no detail was overlooked in the pursuit of absolute comfort. This is a space designed for the long cross-border drives typical of the GCC, ensuring you arrive at your destination refreshed.

Safety

Safety in the Continental GTC is handled by a comprehensive array of active and passive systems that provide peace of mind in the region's fast-paced traffic environments. Standard equipment includes an advanced adaptive cruise control system that manages following distances automatically, which is a significant fatigue-reducer on the long stretches between major emirates. Blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist are particularly helpful on the wide, multi-lane highways of the UAE where traffic moves quickly and lane changes are frequent. The car also features a 360-degree camera system that makes parking this sizable grand tourer in tight city mall spaces an effortless task. In the event of a rollover, hidden roll bars deploy in milliseconds to protect the passengers, while the reinforced chassis provides a rigid safety cell. The high-performance braking system ensures that the car can shed speed rapidly and consistently, even in the high temperatures of a Middle Eastern afternoon. This suite of technology ensures that the car is as safe as it is luxurious, protecting its occupants with the latest in automotive innovation.

The bottom line

This 1st Edition GTC is the perfect acquisition for a discerning buyer looking for a brand-new experience in a collector-grade spec. Its combination of delivery mileage, GCC regional suitability, and the high-value 1st Edition package makes it the most logical and prestigious choice currently available in the regional pre-owned market.
