Summary

This 2023 BMW XM M Sport is a standout opportunity, combining ultra-low mileage for its 3-year age with a rare Green finish that holds strong resale appeal in the GCC's high-end luxury market. As the first dedicated M-car since the M1, the XM offers a unique performance identity that bridges the gap between a family SAV and a high-performance supercar. With only 18,534 km, it has significantly lower usage than the typical GCC annual average, ensuring it remains in peak mechanical health. For the local buyer, this model represents the absolute top of BMW’s engineering, offering a cooled, ultra-modern cabin capable of mastering the peak UAE summer. It is a bold, electrified statement that remains practical enough for daily regional commutes.

This Car vs Other 2023 XMs

At 18,534 km, this XM has been driven roughly 6,000 km per year, which is exceptionally low compared to the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for GCC highway-heavy driving. The unique Green exterior is a premium choice that differentiates it from the common black and white models found in Dubai and Riyadh, often commanding better interest in the pre-owned niche market. Its GCC specification ensures full regional warranty support and cooling systems optimized for extreme heat.

M SPORT vs Lower Trims

The M Sport configuration on the XM is the definitive trim, adding the Iconic Glow illuminated kidney grille and massive 23-inch light-alloy wheels that give it a commanding road presence. Inside, it features the M Lounge rear seating with Alcantara headlining and integrated fiber-optic lighting, alongside ventilated front M Multifunction seats essential for the GCC climate. This trim also includes the Adaptive M Suspension Professional with active roll stabilization, a feature that significantly improves handling compared to standard luxury SUVs.

XM vs Segment Rivals

The BMW XM competes directly with the Lamborghini Urus and the Aston Martin DBX707, but leads them by offering a sophisticated PHEV powertrain that allows for nearly 90 km of silent, zero-emission city driving. Its 69-liter fuel tank combined with hybrid efficiency provides a massive total range for long-distance trips from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. While rivals focus purely on displacement, the XM offers a more tech-forward cabin with the BMW Curved Display and superior ride refinement for daily use.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy is highly efficient for its size, rated at approximately 1.6 L/100km (WLTP) when utilizing the hybrid system, which is ideal for stop-start traffic in major GCC cities. Service intervals are managed by BMW’s Condition Based Service (CBS) system, typically occurring every 12,000 to 15,000 km in regional conditions to account for dust and heat. The XM's specialized status as a standalone M-model helps it retain value better than standard X-series SUVs, with a strong demand across the UAE and Saudi Arabian luxury networks.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 4.4L V8 Twin-Turbo paired with a high-output electric motor, the XM delivers a massive 653 hp and 800 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.3 seconds. The M xDrive all-wheel-drive system is rear-biased for a sporty feel but provides maximum traction for fast highway overtakes or gravel surfaces. Despite its luxury focus, the 220mm ground clearance ensures it can handle light off-road terrain or desert camping access roads with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a 'luxury lounge' featuring high-quality leather and the innovative M Lounge rear bench with heated backrests that extend into the door panels. Quad-zone climate control and ventilated seating ensure every passenger stays cool during the hottest months, while the 1,475-watt Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound system provides an immersive audio experience. The cabin is exceptionally quiet thanks to acoustic glazing, making it a perfect sanctuary for long drives across the Emirates.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes the Driving Assistant Professional suite with active cruise control, lane-keeping assistant, and blind-spot detection for fast-moving highway traffic. A 360-degree camera system with Parking Assistant Plus makes maneuvering this large SUV in tight city spaces effortless. Additionally, it features high-performance M Sport brakes and a comprehensive airbag system to provide maximum protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This is a rare chance to own BMW's most powerful production SUV in a standout color with very low mileage. It is the perfect choice for a GCC buyer who wants supercar performance without sacrificing everyday luxury or regional reliability.
