Summary

This 2023 Chevrolet Blazer RS is a standout choice in the midsize SUV segment, offering a balance of performance and style that mirrors its Camaro-inspired roots. With a 3.6-litre V6 engine delivering 308 horsepower, it provides the punchy acceleration needed for confident overtaking on GCC highways. This specific RS trim adds a more aggressive aesthetic and premium interior features that hold their value exceptionally well in the regional market. Finished in white, the car benefits from the highest resale demand and best thermal performance for the local climate. For any buyer seeking a family crossover that doesn't sacrifice personality or power, this Blazer is a compelling opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2023 Blazers

With 53,816 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 18,000 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC average of 20,000 to 25,000 km. In a market where highway-heavy usage is the norm, this lower-than-expected mileage represents a distinct mechanical advantage for the next owner. The white exterior further strengthens its case, as it remains the most sought-after color for heat reflection and long-term resale value in the Emirates.

RS vs Lower Trims

The RS is the performance-oriented flagship of the Blazer range, coming standard with the potent V6 engine that is only an option on mid-level trims. Beyond the power upgrade, the RS adds a signature high-gloss black mesh grille, unique 20-inch wheels, and a hands-free power liftgate. Inside, it gains an 8-inch digital driver information center, a heated steering wheel, and the premium Bose 8-speaker audio system, features that are often missing from the 2LT and 3LT variants.

Blazer vs Segment Rivals

The Blazer RS competes directly with the Ford Edge ST-Line and the Nissan Murano, standing out with its more athletic handling and Camaro-derived styling. While many rivals in this class have moved toward smaller turbocharged four-cylinder engines, the Blazer’s 3.6-litre V6 offers the smooth, linear power delivery preferred for long-distance cruising across the GCC. Its generous 82-litre fuel tank also provides a superior driving range for cross- emirate trips compared to several compact competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V6 powertrain typically averages around 10.2 L/100km, which is efficient for a 300+ horsepower SUV. Chevrolet maintains a robust authorized service network across the UAE and the wider GCC, ensuring parts and expert maintenance are readily available in every major city. RS models traditionally command a price premium on the used market due to their higher equipment levels and popular styling, typically retaining more value after three years than the base LT trims.

Performance & Capability

The 308 hp V6 engine allows the Blazer RS to reach 100 km/h in approximately 6.2 seconds, making it one of the quicker naturally aspirated SUVs in its class. Equipped with an advanced twin-clutch Four-Wheel Drive system, it offers selectable drive modes including Sport and Off-Road to handle varying terrain. Its braked towing capacity of up to 2,041 kg makes it a capable companion for weekend adventures, whether hauling jet skis to the coast or a small trailer through the desert.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five passengers with an emphasis on summer comfort, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system and rear air vents to combat extreme heat. The RS trim includes perforated leather-appointed seating with red accents and a 10.2-inch HD color touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. With 864 litres of boot space behind the second row, there is ample room for large grocery hauls or family vacation luggage.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this RS trim includes the Chevy Safety Assist suite, featuring Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. For the high-speed multi-lane highways of the GCC, the standard Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert provide essential peace of mind. The vehicle is also equipped with a high-definition 360-degree camera system, making parking in tight urban spaces significantly easier.

The bottom line

This 2023 Blazer RS is the ideal choice for a GCC buyer who wants a sporty, high-spec crossover with lower-than-average mileage and the most reliable engine configuration for the region.
