Summary

This 2023 Sierra 1500 AT4 strikes the ideal balance for a GCC buyer who needs a refined daily driver that is genuinely desert-ready. With the top-tier 6.2L V8 and the factory-fitted lift kit, it offers a distinct mechanical advantage over the more common 5.3L variants found across the region. The Blue exterior is a refreshing, premium alternative to the standard white fleet trucks, while still holding strong appeal in the local used market. As an AT4, it provides the rugged off-road hardware of a specialist 4x4 without sacrificing the premium cabin tech required for long highway commutes between Emirates. This specific listing represents a highly capable, modern American pickup that is perfectly suited for both the job site and weekend overland adventures.

This Car vs Other 2023 Sierra 1500s

At 91,000 km, this Sierra has seen consistent highway use typical for a GCC-based workhorse, where long-distance travel is standard. While the mileage is slightly above the regional average for its age, it reflects a vehicle that has been regularly exercised on the open road rather than idling in city traffic. The Blue paintwork is a sought-after 'Premium' shade in the UAE and Saudi markets, often commanding a quicker sale than more generic colors.

AT4 vs Lower Trims

The AT4 is a significant jump from the SLT or Elevation trims, specifically adding off-road focused hardware. It features a factory 2-inch lift, Rancho monotube shocks, and a two-speed AutoTrac transfer case with a locking rear differential as standard. Inside, the AT4 gains exclusive perforated leather seating with Kalahari accents and ventilated front seats, which are essential for maintaining comfort during the intense GCC summer months.

Sierra vs Segment Rivals

The Sierra AT4 differentiates itself from the Ford F-150 Tremor and RAM 1500 Rebel by offering a more upscale, professional-grade interior and the unique MultiPro Tailgate with six functional positions. Its 6.2L V8 provides a more traditional, high-displacement power delivery compared to the twin-turbo alternatives, which many GCC owners prefer for long-term durability in extreme heat. The 91-litre fuel tank ensures significant range for cross-country drives across the Saudi desert or the UAE's interior.

Running Costs & Resale

The 6.2L V8 is designed to run efficiently on high-octane Super 98 or Special 95 petrol, with real-world combined consumption typically averaging around 15.5 L/100km. GMC maintains a massive service footprint across the GCC, with authorized centers in every major city from Muscat to Kuwait City, ensuring parts are always readily available. The AT4 trim specifically enjoys higher value retention than base models, as off-road ready pickups remain the most liquid assets in the regional used car market.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with the 6.2L V8, this truck delivers a robust 420 hp and 623 Nm of torque, making highway overtaking effortless even when fully loaded. The 4,082 kg towing capacity is class-leading for a light-duty pickup, allowing you to haul large boats or heavy equipment trailers with ease. Its selectable Traction Select System includes a dedicated Off-Road mode that recalibrates the transmission and throttle for maximum grip on soft sand.

Comfort & Cabin

The Crew Cab configuration offers massive legroom in the rear, comfortably seating five adults for long-distance trips. Tech highlights include the 13.4-inch diagonal center touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver information center, which are among the largest and clearest in the segment. Dual-zone climate control and rear air vents ensure that the entire cabin stays pressurized and cool, even when external temperatures exceed 45°C.

Safety

Safety is managed by the GMC Pro Safety suite, featuring Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. This trim also includes the Safety Alert Seat, which uses haptic vibrations to warn the driver of potential hazards. For navigating tight city parking or hitched trailers, the HD Surround Vision camera provides a comprehensive 360-degree view around the vehicle.

The bottom line

This Sierra AT4 is the perfect choice for the enthusiast who wants the most powerful V8 available in a package that is as comfortable in the dunes as it is on the highway.
