Summary

This 2023 Infiniti QX55 in the ESSENTIAL trim represents a compelling opportunity for a buyer seeking a stylish crossover that bridges the gap between a traditional SUV and a premium coupe. With exceptionally low mileage relative to the GCC average of 25,000 km per year, this vehicle is essentially in its prime, offering the peace of mind typically associated with a new car purchase. The striking Red exterior is a bold choice that stands out in a market dominated by monochromatic tones, yet it retains strong appeal among lifestyle buyers who value the QX55's unique silhouette. As a GCC spec model, it is perfectly adapted for the regional climate, ensuring the cooling systems and powertrain are optimized for the intense heat of the UAE and beyond. This model distinguishes itself from competitors with its innovative Variable Compression Turbo engine, which provides a balance of power and efficiency that is highly relevant for both Dubai city traffic and long-range highway cruising to other emirates. For a resident looking for a sophisticated, modern, and high-tech daily driver that still carries the remainder of its manufacturer support, this listing is a standout choice in the current pre-owned market.

This Car vs Other 2023 QX55s

When compared to other 2023 models currently available in the GCC market, this specific QX55 is a low-mileage leader. While the average driver in the region covers between 20,000 and 25,000 km annually, this vehicle has covered just over 16,000 km in its entire life, suggesting it was used sparingly for short commutes or as a secondary family vehicle. This lower-than-average usage means significantly less wear on the suspension components and interior surfaces, which is a major advantage for long-term resale value. The vibrant Red paintwork is maintained to a high standard and offers a refreshing alternative to the usual silver and white cars found on the E11 highway, making it more identifiable and desirable for individualistic buyers. Being a GCC-spec 2023 model, it remains under the umbrella of local service networks, ensuring that any maintenance performed has been in accordance with the manufacturer's strict regional requirements. Choosing this specific unit over higher-mileage alternatives provides the buyer with a 'near-new' experience at a used market entry point.

ESSENTIAL vs Lower Trims

The ESSENTIAL trim is a significant step up from the base LUXE model, transforming the QX55 from a premium crossover into a true luxury environment. One of the most critical upgrades for the GCC climate is the inclusion of climate-controlled front seats, which provide both heating and cooling—a feature that becomes an absolute necessity during the peak summer months in the Middle East. Tech-focused buyers will appreciate the addition of the Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, which makes navigating tight parking spots in crowded malls like Dubai Mall or Yas Mall significantly easier. This trim also elevates the acoustic experience with the Bose Performance Series 16-speaker audio system, replacing the standard setup found in lower trims with a studio-quality soundscape. Furthermore, the ESSENTIAL trim introduces genuine leather-appointed seating and a heated steering wheel, adding a tactile layer of luxury that the base models simply lack. By choosing this trim, you are securing the most popular comfort and convenience features that GCC buyers specifically look for when they shop the secondary market.

QX55 vs Segment Rivals

The Infiniti QX55 competes in the highly contested luxury crossover coupe segment, primarily facing off against the BMW X4 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. Where the QX55 leads its German rivals is in its clever use of interior space and the unique VC-Turbo engine technology which offers a more flexible power delivery suited for the varied driving conditions of the GCC. While rivals often charge extra for advanced driver assistance features, the QX55 ESSENTIAL includes a comprehensive suite of safety tech as standard, offering better value for money. The cabin is designed with a more driver-centric layout that feels more spacious than the X4, particularly in terms of shoulder room for front passengers. Additionally, Infiniti's service network in the UAE and across the wider GCC is exceptionally robust, often providing more competitive maintenance costs than European premium brands. For the driver who wants the sleek 'Coupe SUV' look without the high maintenance overheads or cramped feeling of some European competitors, the QX55 is the logical choice.

Running Costs & Resale

Running a QX55 in the GCC is surprisingly economical thanks to the 2.0L Variable Compression Turbo engine, which is designed to act like a fuel-efficient four-cylinder during steady highway cruises between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but delivers performance on demand. Real-world fuel consumption is highly competitive for its class, comfortably handling the stop-start nature of Riyadh or Sharjah traffic without excessive fuel burn. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is compatible with the high-octane fuel grades available at ADNOC and ENOC stations across the Emirates. Maintenance is straightforward, with authorized service centers readily available in every major city across the GCC, ensuring parts are never hard to find. Historically, the QX55 holds its value well within the Japanese premium segment, typically seeing a depreciation rate of approximately 12-15% annually, which is superior to many of its European counterparts. This lower depreciation makes it a smarter long-term financial decision for those who plan to upgrade their vehicle every three to four years.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this vehicle is the world’s first production Variable Compression Turbo engine, delivering 268 hp and 380 Nm of torque. This translates to effortless overtaking on the fast-paced multi-lane highways of the UAE, where quick bursts of speed are often required to merge safely. The CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) has been tuned specifically to simulate traditional gear shifts, providing a smooth and refined power delivery that eliminates the 'rubber band' feel found in older systems. Despite its sporty 'coupe' styling, the QX55 offers a respectable ground clearance that allows it to handle gravel paths or uneven sandy patches near beach parking areas with ease. The front-wheel-drive configuration is perfectly suited for the paved infrastructure of the GCC, offering better fuel efficiency and lower weight than all-wheel-drive variants. Driver-selectable modes allow you to sharpen the throttle response for a more spirited drive on the winding roads of Jebel Jais or soften it for a relaxed evening cruise along the Corniche.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the QX55 ESSENTIAL is a sanctuary of Japanese craftsmanship, featuring a dual-screen Infiniti InTouch infotainment system that keeps navigation and media separate for ease of use. The 'Zero Gravity' seats are a highlight, designed to reduce fatigue during the long cross-country drives common in the region, such as the journey from Dubai to Muscat. For passengers, the rear seats slide and recline, a rare feature in a coupe-styled SUV, ensuring that even adult passengers are comfortable in the back. The air conditioning system is famously powerful, a hallmark of Infiniti's engineering for hot climates, featuring dual-zone automatic control and rear air vents to ensure the cabin reaches a pleasant temperature within minutes of starting. Active Noise Cancellation and Active Sound Enhancement work together to keep the cabin whisper-quiet, shielding occupants from road noise and the harsh outside environment. The presence of a power moonroof allows for an airy feel during the cooler winter months, while the high-quality sunshades provide total protection during the height of summer.

Safety

Safety in the QX55 is comprehensive, anchored by the ProPILOT Assist suite which is invaluable for the long, straight highway stretches of the GCC. This system includes Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist, which help keep the vehicle centered in its lane and at a safe distance from the car ahead, reducing driver stress on the E11. Blind Spot Warning and Intervention are critical features for the fast-moving, multi-lane traffic environments found in Dubai and Doha, providing an extra set of eyes during lane changes. The vehicle also features Predictive Forward Collision Warning, which can sense the distance and velocity of the two vehicles ahead, giving you more time to react to sudden braking. In the event of an unavoidable incident, the 5-Star safety rated chassis and advanced airbag system provide maximum protection for all four occupants. This level of integrated, active safety technology is what sets the ESSENTIAL trim apart as a top-tier choice for safety-conscious families and professionals.

The bottom line

This 2023 Infiniti QX55 ESSENTIAL is the perfect match for a style-conscious professional who wants a low-mileage, GCC-spec luxury vehicle that is still practically new. Given its balance of high-end features, regional suitability, and the prestige of the Infiniti brand, it represents one of the best value-for-money propositions in the premium crossover segment today.
