Summary

This 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L in the top-tier Summit Reserve trim offers an exceptional blend of American luxury and family practicality with seven-seat flexibility. With 70,000 km, the mileage is slightly higher than average but well within expectations for a vehicle built for long-distance GCC highway cruising. The black exterior is highly desirable in the local market, ensuring strong resale value and a premium executive presence. This model stands out by offering genuine three-row adult occupancy alongside a class-leading interior that rivals dedicated luxury brands. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, this is a refined, tech-heavy alternative to traditional Japanese SUVs that doesn't compromise on features.

This Car vs Other 2023 Grand Cherokee Ls

At 70,000 km, this vehicle has been driven approximately 35,000 km per year, which is above the typical GCC average but common for families commuting between emirates. The black paint is a major asset for resale in the local market, where it remains one of the top three most requested colors. The Korean regional spec means the car features a robust infotainment and safety suite, though buyers should verify service compatibility with local authorized Jeep centers.

SUMMIT RESERVE vs Lower Trims

The Summit Reserve is the absolute flagship, adding 21-inch polished wheels and a stunning 19-speaker McIntosh premium audio system that is absent on lower trims. Inside, it features quilted Palermo leather and open-pore wax-finish wood, creating a far more executive atmosphere than the Limited or Overland models. Most importantly for the GCC, it includes both ventilated and massaging front seats, alongside ventilated second-row seats to ensure maximum passenger comfort during summer.

Grand Cherokee L vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Ford Explorer and Toyota Highlander, the Grand Cherokee L leads with a significantly more premium cabin and sophisticated Quadra-Lift air suspension. Its 87-liter fuel tank is perfectly suited for long desert highway runs, providing a cruising range that few in this class can match. While rivals focus on utility, the Jeep offers a genuine luxury experience with dedicated climate zones for all three rows.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.6L Pentastar V6 is a proven engine in the GCC, known for its mechanical simplicity and ability to run on standard petrol grades. Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 11.2 L/100km on the highway, though this will increase in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Jeep maintains a widespread authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and the Grand Cherokee L generally experiences a depreciation rate of approximately 15-18% annually in the local used market.

Performance & Capability

The 293 hp V6 engine provides a balanced driving experience, capable of reaching 0-100 km/h in approximately 8.5 seconds, which is ample for confident highway overtaking. The Quadra-Trac II 4x4 system and Selec-Terrain modes allow the vehicle to handle sandy tracks and gravel with ease during weekend escapes. With a maximum ground clearance of 276 mm via the air suspension, it offers superior clearance for navigating uneven terrain compared to road-biased crossovers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a standout feature, utilizing a 7-seat layout with easy-entry slide second-row seating for quick access to the rear. The four-zone automatic climate control is specifically engineered to maintain cooling even in extreme 45°C+ summer heat. Passengers also benefit from the dual-pane panoramic sunroof, which features a high-quality thermal shade to keep the interior cool during the day while providing an airy feel at night.

Safety

The Summit Reserve comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Active Driving Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control and lane-centering for effortless highway driving. It also features a 360° surround-view camera and drowsy driver detection, which are critical for safety on long-distance cross-border trips. Standard safety hardware includes advanced side-curtain airbags for all three rows, ensuring all seven passengers are protected.

The bottom line

This listing represents a high-spec opportunity for a large family seeking maximum luxury and modern technology without the price tag of a brand-new showroom model.
