Summary

This 2023 Jetour X70S in LUX trim offers a compelling mix of three-row versatility and modern technology that stands out in the competitive GCC mid-size SUV market. With a mileage of 49,385 km over three years, it has been driven approximately 16,500 km annually, which is notably lower than the typical 20,000–25,000 km GCC average for family vehicles. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the region, known for its high resale liquidity and superior heat reflection during intense summer months. As the high-spec LUX variant, it provides premium features usually reserved for more expensive rivals, making it a strong value-driven choice for growing families. The balance of a turbocharged powertrain and a spacious seven-seat layout ensures it is well-suited for both daily school runs and long-distance weekend trips across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2023 X70Ss

At 49,385 km, this vehicle sits well below the typical 60,000–75,000 km range expected for a three-year-old SUV in the UAE, where long highway commutes are standard. This lower-than-average usage translates to less wear on the interior upholstery and mechanical components, representing a distinct advantage for the next owner. The white paint further strengthens its market position, as it remains the most sought-after color for maintaining value in the local used market.

LUX vs Lower Trims

The LUX trim is a significant step up from the base Comfort model, introducing high-value features that GCC buyers prioritize, such as the 360-degree panoramic camera system for easier parking in tight urban spaces. It also adds a large panoramic sunroof that brightens the cabin and premium leather-style seating. These additions not only enhance the daily driving experience but also ensure the car remains more desirable at the point of future resale.

X70S vs Segment Rivals

The X70S competes directly with the MG RX8 and Changan CS75 Plus, leading with a highly competitive feature-to-price ratio that includes a digital cockpit as standard. Its 210 mm ground clearance gives it an edge for light weekend excursions compared to more road-biased crossovers in its class. For families, the X70S provides a more generous third-row configuration than many compact seven-seaters, making it a more practical long-term choice.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.5L turbocharged engine is designed for efficiency, delivering approximately 7.6 L/100km, which helps manage costs during long-distance drives between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Jetour has rapidly expanded its GCC footprint, with the world's largest service center located in Dubai and an extensive network across Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts and maintenance are easily accessible. While Chinese brands initially see higher depreciation, the X70S benefits from a strong 10-year engine warranty in the UAE, which provides significant peace of mind and supports value retention at the 3-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L turbo engine produces a reliable 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque, providing smooth power delivery for highway overtaking and city merging. The 210 mm ground clearance is particularly useful for navigating the high speed bumps and varied terrain often encountered in suburban GCC developments. Its front-wheel-drive setup is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission tuned for fuel economy and refined cruising during the long, straight highway stretches common in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the seven-seat layout is designed for family comfort, featuring dedicated rear air conditioning vents which are essential for maintaining passenger wellness during the peak of summer. The cabin is centered around a 10-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, giving it a high-tech feel that rivals luxury brands. Practicality is further enhanced by flat-folding rear seats, allowing the cargo area to expand significantly for large grocery runs or family road trip luggage.

Safety

This LUX trim is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including four airbags and a 360-degree panoramic camera for maximum visibility. Active systems like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) come standard, providing critical assistance during fast-moving highway traffic or on sand-dusted road surfaces. The inclusion of Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Monitoring further enhances safety for long-distance drivers.

The bottom line

This Jetour X70S is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking a modern, low-mileage 7-seater that offers luxury features without the luxury price tag, all while remaining within its prime warranty years.
