Summary

This 2023 Jetour X90 Plus Luxury offers a compelling upgrade for families who need a full seven-seat layout without the heavy depreciation of traditional premium brands. As the high-spec Luxury trim, it features significantly more advanced driver assistance systems and cabin technology than the entry-level models. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the GCC, offering the best possible heat reflection and the strongest resale potential in the local market. With 61,000 km, this vehicle has been used for typical regional commuting and remains a modern, feature-rich alternative to established mid-size SUVs. For a GCC buyer, the balance of power from the 2.0-liter engine makes it much more capable on fast-moving highways compared to the smaller 1.6-liter variants.

This Car vs Other 2023 X90 Pluss

At 61,000 km, this vehicle sits at a standard mileage for a two-year-old SUV in the GCC, where long-distance highway commutes between emirates are common. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local used market, ensuring faster resale and better value retention than darker shades. Choosing the 2023 model year allows you to access current-generation tech and styling at a significant discount compared to showroom-new units.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim adds essential GCC-specific features over the Comfort model, including ventilated front seats and a more comprehensive ADAS suite with Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Detection. It also upgrades the exterior with 20-inch star-shaped alloy wheels and replaces the standard lighting with intelligent matrix LED headlights. Inside, you benefit from a premium 12.3-inch dual-screen digital cockpit and a 360-degree panoramic camera system that are not standard on lower versions.

X90 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The X90 Plus competes with the MG RX8 and GAC GS8, leading the segment with a highly competitive 210 mm ground clearance and a longer 2850 mm wheelbase for superior third-row legroom. While rivals often charge a premium for safety tech, the X90 Plus Luxury includes a full suite of cameras and sensors as standard. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged engine provides a more responsive power-to-weight ratio for highway overtaking compared to the naturally aspirated engines found in some budget competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0T engine typically averages around 8.1 L/100km on highways, though GCC stop-start traffic with full A/C can see city figures rise significantly. Jetour has rapidly expanded its authorized service network across the UAE and wider GCC, with major hubs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh ensuring good parts availability. While Chinese brands face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the X90 Plus Luxury holds its value well among budget-conscious families looking for high-spec features at a mid-market price point.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter engine delivers a robust 254 hp and 390 Nm of torque, enabling smooth acceleration and confident overtaking on 140 km/h UAE highways. The 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission is specifically tuned for smooth shifts, avoiding the overheating issues sometimes seen in dry-clutch systems during extreme summer heat. With 210 mm of ground clearance, it is well-suited for light gravel tracks and weekend family trips to the wadis, though it remains a road-biased front-wheel-drive SUV.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is designed for the desert climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone air conditioning system with dedicated vents and controls for the rear passengers. The Luxury trim includes Nappa-style leather seats with integrated ventilation, providing a massive comfort advantage during the peak summer months. A large panoramic sunroof opens up the cabin, while acoustic glass helps insulate the interior from highway wind noise and external heat.

Safety

This Luxury trim is equipped with a high-strength cage body and a comprehensive safety suite including six airbags and a 360-degree panoramic parking system. Key active safety features like Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are particularly useful for navigating multi-lane highways and busy mall parking lots. It also features ISOFIX child seat anchors and a tire pressure monitoring system, ensuring peace of mind for family-focused owners.

The bottom line

Perfect for a growing family in the UAE looking for a high-tech, seven-seat SUV that balances powerful highway performance with excellent resale-friendly specifications.
