Summary

This 2023 Land Rover Defender 110 S P300 represents a high-value entry into the modern Defender family, finished in a resale-friendly Grey that remains a top performer in the GCC used market. While the mileage reflects active use, this 2.0L turbocharged variant is engineered for the long highway stretches and high temperatures characteristic of regional driving. As an S trim, it balances rugged utility with essential premium upgrades like Grained Leather seating and enhanced lighting, making it a versatile choice for both urban Dubai commuting and weekend desert excursions. The American specification offers a competitive entry point for buyers prioritizing the latest body style and off-road geometry over a local warranty.

This Car vs Other 2023 Defender 110s

With 94,521 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical GCC average for a one-year-old car, which usually sits around 25,000 km. However, the Grey exterior is a highly desirable shade in the UAE, ensuring it stays relevant for future resale compared to niche colors. The higher mileage is offset by the vehicle's recent model year, ensuring the latest Pivi Pro infotainment and mechanical refinements are fully present.

S P300 vs Lower Trims

The S trim provides a significant step up from the base Standard model, adding 19-inch Gloss Silver wheels and premium Grained Leather seat facings that are far better suited to the GCC climate than the entry-level fabric. It also introduces 12-way heated semi-powered front seats and Auto High Beam Assist, features that add genuine daily convenience on long inter-emirate drives.

Defender 110 vs Segment Rivals

The Defender 110 leads competitors like the Jeep Wrangler and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in wading depth, capable of handling up to 900 mm of water. Its 90-litre fuel tank provides superior range for long desert crossings or trips to Oman compared to smaller-displacement rivals. Additionally, the monocoque architecture offers on-road refinement and high-speed stability that traditional body-on-frame competitors struggle to match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P300 engine averages approximately 12.5 L/100km in mixed GCC conditions, though stop-start city traffic in major hubs can increase this. Land Rover service intervals are generally set at 21,000 km or 12 months, and while parts are widely available at authorized centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, American spec vehicles should be checked for local service contract eligibility. The Defender 110 maintains strong value retention in the region, typically depreciating at a slower rate than other European luxury SUVs.

Performance & Capability

The 300 hp turbocharged engine delivers a 0-100 km/h time of 7.4 seconds, providing ample punch for highway overtaking. Off-road, the Terrain Response system and twin-speed transfer box with low-range gearing ensure it handles soft sand and rocky wadis with ease. The maximum ground clearance of 291 mm allows for exceptional approach and departure angles, making it a genuine tool for weekend exploration.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for the heat, featuring dual-zone climate control with powerful cooling and standard rear air vents to keep all passengers comfortable during summer peaks. Durable rubber flooring is standard, allowing for easy cleaning after a day in the dunes, while the Meridian sound system provides high-fidelity audio for long highway journeys. The generous boot space of up to 972 litres ensures plenty of room for camping gear or family luggage.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with a 3D Surround Camera and 360° Parking Aid as standard, which are vital for maneuvering a large SUV in tight urban spaces. The suite also includes Lane Keep Assist, Emergency Braking, and a Driver Condition Monitor to enhance safety during long, fatiguing desert drives. Six airbags and a robust structural design provide peace of mind for family use across the GCC.

The bottom line

This Defender is the ideal choice for a buyer looking for the iconic 110 silhouette and elite off-road capability at a more accessible price point due to its American spec and mileage.
