Summary

This 2023 Mitsubishi Attrage GLX Premium is a standout choice for those seeking a modern, high-efficiency commuter with a strong balance of age and mileage. As a GCC-spec sedan, it is purpose-built for the region's climate, featuring an air conditioning system specifically tuned to handle extreme desert heat. The Premium trim ensures you are not just getting a basic workhorse, but a daily driver equipped with essential tech like smartphone connectivity and cruise control. It offers class-leading fuel economy that makes it one of the most cost-effective vehicles to operate in the Emirates. For the pragmatic buyer, the combination of Mitsubishi’s legendary reliability and the practicality of a 4-door sedan makes this a low-risk, high-value investment.

This Car vs Other 2023 Attrages

With approximately 63,000 km on the odometer, this Attrage sits comfortably within the expected mileage range for a high-use GCC commuter of its age. While many 2023 models in the market serve as high-intensity fleet vehicles, this specific unit presents as a well-maintained personal or executive option. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, offering excellent resistance to showing desert dust while maintaining a strong resale profile compared to non-standard colors.

GLX PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The GLX Premium trim elevates the Attrage experience with features that are often missing on the base GLX, such as a 7-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also typically adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated audio and cruise control, making long highway drives between emirates significantly more relaxed. Additionally, the Premium trim often features 15-inch alloy wheels and high-contrast meters, providing a more sophisticated aesthetic than the standard fleet versions.

Attrage vs Segment Rivals

The Attrage leads the compact sedan segment with an impressive 450-litre boot, which surprisingly rivals larger sedans in total cargo volume. Compared to the Toyota Yaris or Nissan Sunny, the Attrage focuses on maximum fuel efficiency, consistently achieving better economy figures in stop-start city traffic. Its tighter 4.8-metre turning radius also makes it noticeably easier to maneuver in dense urban parking environments found in Dubai and Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

Operating costs are among the lowest in the market, with a manufacturer-claimed combined fuel economy of 4.8 L/100km. Service intervals are generally set at every 10,000 km, supported by one of the most widespread authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. The Attrage benefits from exceptionally strong resale demand in the GCC due to its popularity as a reliable ride-hailing and fleet vehicle, typically depreciating at a slower rate than its European or American compact competitors.

Performance & Capability

The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder MIVEC engine is optimized for urban efficiency rather than raw speed, providing 78 hp through a smooth INVECS-III CVT transmission. It is engineered for low-friction operation, allowing it to maintain steady highway speeds while sipping fuel. The car’s lightweight design contributes to agile handling and a stable ride on well-paved GCC highways, while its 152 mm ground clearance is sufficient for typical urban obstacles and speed humps.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is designed with a 'people-first' philosophy, offering generous legroom for five passengers despite its compact exterior footprint. The air conditioning system is a high-capacity unit designed specifically for the Middle East, ensuring rapid cabin cooling even after being parked in direct summer sun. Practical touches include multiple cup holders, large door pockets, and height-adjustable seating for the driver to ensure comfort during cross-country commutes.

Safety

Safety is managed through Mitsubishi's Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body construction, which effectively absorbs energy during collisions. Standard safety features on the GLX Premium include dual front SRS airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and a tire pressure monitoring system. These systems provide essential protection and stability on fast-moving multi-lane highways across the region.

The bottom line

For the budget-conscious professional or small family, this Attrage GLX Premium offers the perfect mix of high-trim features and segment-leading running costs in a reliable GCC-spec package.
