Summary

This 2023 Mitsubishi Attrage GLX Premium represents the peak of sub-compact efficiency, making it one of the most cost-effective sedans currently available in the GCC. With mileage that reflects typical regional use for a two-year-old commuter, it offers a significant saving over new while maintaining the reliability Mitsubishi is known for. The Grey exterior is a neutral, heat-reflective choice that holds its value well in the local resale market. For buyers prioritizing low running costs without sacrificing modern essentials like Apple CarPlay and a rearview camera, this Premium trim bridges the gap perfectly. It is an ideal solution for city-based professionals or small families seeking a hassle-free ownership experience in the UAE.

This Car vs Other 2023 Attrages

With approximately 67,884 km, this vehicle sits within the average mileage range for a GCC-based commuter sedan of its age. While higher than global averages, this is typical for the region's highway-centric driving and is well within the engine's long-term durability cycle. The Grey finish is a practical choice for the Middle East, offering better heat management and higher resale demand than darker tones.

GLX PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The GLX Premium trim elevates the Attrage experience by adding essential technology that basic trims lack. Key upgrades include a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a rearview camera for effortless parking, and 15-inch alloy wheels. You also benefit from cruise control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, features that significantly improve comfort during long commutes between Emirates.

Attrage vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Kia Pegas or Toyota Yaris, the Attrage leads with a class-leading turning radius of just 4.8 meters, making it the easiest car to maneuver in tight Dubai parking spots. While rivals may offer slightly more power, the Attrage focuses on maximum fuel efficiency and rear legroom, offering more second-row space than many cars in the larger segment above it.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are among the lowest in the GCC, with a manufacturer-official fuel economy of 20.8 km/L. In real-world stop-start traffic, you can expect highly competitive figures that outperform most naturally aspirated four-cylinder rivals. Mitsubishi’s extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman ensures parts are affordable and readily available, contributing to a stable depreciation rate of approximately 10-12% annually.

Performance & Capability

The 1.2-litre MIVEC engine is designed for urban agility rather than raw speed, delivering a smooth and predictable power flow through the INVECS-III CVT. It achieves a top speed of 170 km/h, which is more than sufficient for regional highway limits, and maintains excellent stability at cruising speeds. Its lightweight body ensures that the 76 hp feels responsive during city merges and light traffic navigation.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Attrage provides a surprisingly airy cabin with high-contrast instrumentation that remains clear even in direct midday sun. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for the GCC climate, providing rapid cooling that is a hallmark of Japanese engineering in the region. The 450-litre boot is deep and wide, easily accommodating large grocery hauls or airport luggage for a small family.

Safety

Safety is managed by Mitsubishi's RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body construction, which effectively disperses energy during an impact. This Premium trim comes standard with dual front airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Active Stability Control (ASC). Additionally, Hill Start Assist prevents the car from rolling backward on inclines, providing extra confidence in multi-level parking structures.

The bottom line

For the budget-conscious buyer who refuses to compromise on modern tech and GCC reliability, this Attrage GLX Premium is the most sensible investment in the sub-compact category.
