Summary

This 2023 Outlander in GLX Highline trim offers a significant step up in interior quality and technology from previous generations, making it a highly competitive family choice. With just 45,000 km, the mileage is below the typical GCC annual average for a two-year-old SUV, presenting a strong opportunity for a buyer seeking a modern, reliable daily driver. The Grey exterior is a versatile, high-demand choice that supports strong resale value across the Emirates and wider region. Designed for families, this monocoque crossover balances a smooth highway ride with the security of all-wheel drive for weekend excursions. Mitsubishi's reputation for air conditioning performance ensures the cabin stays comfortable even during the peak of the Gulf summer.

This Car vs Other 2023 Outlanders

With 45,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 22,500 km per year, which is comfortably within the average range for the GCC market. Many similar SUVs in the region easily clock 30,000 km annually due to cross-emirate commutes, giving this specific listing a clear mechanical advantage. The Grey metallic finish is not only easy to maintain in dusty conditions but remains one of the fastest-selling colors in the UAE used market.

GLX HIGHLINE vs Lower Trims

The GLX Highline trim bridges the gap between basic utility and executive comfort by adding premium touches that GCC buyers value. Unlike the base ES models, this trim features 20-inch alloy wheels that significantly enhance the vehicle's road presence and high-speed stability. Inside, you benefit from upgraded seat materials and advanced tech features like hands-free keyless entry and a power liftgate, which are essential conveniences for busy family logistics.

Outlander vs Segment Rivals

The Outlander holds a unique advantage over rivals like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 by offering a standard third row, allowing it to carry seven passengers in a footprint similar to five-seat competitors. Its Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system provides more sophisticated torque vectoring than most in this class, offering better composure on gravel tracks or during heavy rain. Furthermore, the Outlander offers a more premium, modern interior design compared to the more utilitarian cabins of its direct Japanese peers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency for this 2.5L powertrain sits around 8.1 L/100km on a combined cycle, though GCC drivers can expect better figures during long highway runs between cities. Mitsubishi maintains one of the most robust authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are affordable and readily available. Historically, Japanese crossovers of this size retain roughly 60% of their value after three years in the GCC, with Mitsubishi benefiting from a strong reputation for long-term mechanical durability.

Performance & Capability

The 181 hp 2.5-liter engine is paired with a smooth CVT that mimics traditional gear shifts, providing seamless power delivery for highway overtaking. With approximately 210 mm of ground clearance, the Outlander is well-equipped to handle sandy parking areas and moderate off-road trails during weekend camping trips. The All-Wheel Drive system features selectable modes including Tarmac and Gravel, ensuring the chassis remains planted and predictable across different GCC terrains.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to maximize utility, featuring a 40/20/40 split-folding second row that allows for long items to be loaded without sacrificing passenger space. Dual-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents ensures that the third row receives adequate airflow, a critical feature for summer driving in the region. The interior features soft-touch materials and acoustic glass, which helps isolate the cabin from wind noise during high-speed cruising on the E11 or E311 highways.

Safety

Standard safety for this trim includes a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as Forward Collision Mitigation and Blind Spot Warning, which are invaluable for navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The vehicle is also equipped with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a high-resolution camera system to simplify parking in tight urban spaces. Multiple airbags and a high-tensile steel frame provide top-tier passive protection, consistent with its international five-star safety ratings.

The bottom line

For a GCC family looking for a modern seven-seater that is still under its prime service life, this 2023 Outlander offers the perfect balance of low mileage and high-spec features.
